I'm glad he's cleaning house now before he gets to the White House

I'd say, there's no hurry.

He's even helped his brother put out water for 'migrants' in the desert.

(Every person who enters the U.S. illegally--from anywhere--increases the likelihood of another 9/11)

You better change your tagline. According to your own posting, Duncan Hunter is actively facilitating the next 9/11.

Hunter's stance does not materially differ from that of Ronaldus Magnus (free and fair trade), who said:RR: "Not simply content with predicting disaster, some in Congress have put together legislation that would damage our ability to compete with our trading partners. Everyone talks about wanting a level playing field, but what Congress would be doing is putting American workers and industries on the field with one hand tied behind their backs. They call this a trade bill, but there's a lot in it that has nothing to do with trade.

"Yes, I want a trade bill, and we've been working with Congress in good faith to produce a bill that would open markets and improve America's competitiveness, but we must guard against enacting legislation that would reverse the gains of the past 5 years. The draft legislation does contain a number of important measures: It enhances our negotiating authority in the ongoing international trade talks, repeals the windfall profits tax, and creates a retraining program for workers who've been laid off. We strongly support these measures. But it also contains provisions that are unacceptable. I've made it very clear to Congress: I will veto this bill, and I am confident that my veto will be sustained. Then I'll work vigorously to secure responsible trade legislation and urge the congressional leadership to schedule prompt action on the new bill. As long as I'm President, we're going to keep traveling the road we're on, one of free and fair trade, record sustained growth, job creation, rising incomes, and technological leadership into the 21st century" (source).

Thank you for that, I hadn't seen it. Reagan also insisted on border enforcement and promised that would be the LAST amnesty. Funny how the current open border non enforcers have not allowed that promise to be kept.

Sorry, your distraction doesn't work.

He wasn't helping anyone across the border. He was trying to keep people from dying. Are you telling me you wouldn't give someone a drink of water, no matter who they are? I would.

It doesn't show good judgment that he even hired these people in the first place. Disappointing.

This opens you up to criticism of Rudy for every hire he's ever made and you'd be a total hypocrite to complain when (not if) we share with you the results of that research (yes, I've bookmarked it).

So tell us I pray, what's it mean if Rudy doesn't possess the discernment to pick a decent wife, much less keep a marriage vow? Heck, he didn't know the first one was a blood relative? Good grief.

At least Hunter fired them immediately.

With all respect: Spineless compared to whom?

I agree with you that it SHOULDN'T somehow be anathema to say "go back to Mexico" to someone who's here illegally from there. But for some reason, it is, and DH knows so.

So did most republicans. Bush pushed it and signed it. Did you ask that question then?

He never should have hired them. Their positions and previous statements were well known at that time. But everyone makes mistakes.

Let's hope it isn't as deadly as the mistake Hunter has thinking he doesn't need to raise as much $$ as the other candidates. He says the other candidates need that much money to establish their conservative bona fides but Hunter doesn't seem to understand he needs to make his name known to the American public, most of whom don't even know his name, let alone his face.

Apparently Duncan Hunter is not all that tough on illegal immigration as some have purported him to be. By dropping (aka firing) Lois Eargle for her honesty regarding a personal experience involving an illegal immigrant, to who or to what was Hunter pandering? The PC crowd? The illegal immigrants?

Whichever, another poster in a post above this one had it right:

"No Balls!!!!"

Yes, he could have. Both were not terrible measures had they been administered correctly. But they wound up top heavy bureaucratic agencies with no one heading them remotely qualified. Just like every other government bureaucracy in the past fews years. Kind of like 'homeland security'.

Unlike some candidates who get their clothes at 'transvestites are us'.

One smarmy remark begets another. Every time.

You wish any of the Rino candidates was half the man Duncan Hunter is. Put Duncan Hunter next to Rudy and ask any woman who she'd want to go on a date with. Rudy is a stiff, bald little munchkin. Looks is NOT his strong suit....or dress.

Now ask any serviceman who they'd want in a foxhole next to them. And if you think it's Rudy, then there's no point in this conversation going further.

The following day Eargle said she was misquoted, but a recording of the news conference proved otherwise. Eargle said she meant to say the woman's boyfriend had abused her, and the woman came for legal help to get him out of jail

There looks like there is much more to this story.

Hunter should have answered: ARE WE SUPPOSED TO TAKE CARE OF ALL OF MEXICO'S KIDS? WHY DOESN'T MEXICO CARE FOR ITS CHILDREN?

Are you serious? He was supposed to know what they would say?

And who are you a shill for?
