I give up!!! I spent 10 minutes trying to find a radar of Texas weather. I saw it on tv earlier.
My daughter and hubby made it to Sacramento around 2pm and should be home at any time. Temp was 82 near SAC...

About the time I started to answer you last night, we got zapped. After losing power three times, I gave up.
Yes, this one does have the big screen, or at least bigger than most. That's the one suggestion my 85 year old uncle gave me on digital. ;)

We had thunder, lightning, hail, and a tornado in the next county. Other than being real wet, no issues.
Here a link that I like. It has a drop down where you can pull up any state. Of course, Texas takes three. ;)

"Las Vegas TV Ratings Up 2%: Sunday's (3/11/07) NASCAR on FOX event from Las Vegas posted a 6.3/13 (
10.5 million viewers) National rating, according to figures released today by Nielsen Media Research. Sunday's 6.3/13 is up +2% over last year's 6.2/12 for the same race on FOX, and was the top-rated sporting event of the weekend. NASCAR on FOX from Las Vegas outrated CBS' NCAA Selection Show by +47% (6.3/13 vs. 4.3/9 ), the largest margin ever recorded between the two events. Ratings for Sunday's race on FOX opened at a 5.5/13 and grew steadily throughout the broadcast, peaking at a 7.6/14 (13.1 million viewers).(FOX PR)(3-14-2007)"
That is a lot folks watching Nascar! Wow.

I think all tracks need to update like Vegas did.
Being able to see the drivers in the garage is the best - that would be important to me because as far as the actual race goes you can probably see it better on TV.....do you need a season ticket to get in the garage area there?
Many tracks also need to fix their way in and out....waiting for 2-3 hours to get out is not fun.

No, you do not need season tickets, just "a" ticket in any seating area.
The Neon Garage was da poop, spent most of our time there. Just awesome to be that close to everything.
Sunday was a almost an hour and a half, from seat to seat - grand stand to living room. They have really improved the traffic flow around the track.

"Someone said JJ had not left the pit yet?"I played it back on my DVR and it was not even close. The official still had his hand on the tire, outside of the box, as JJ was leaving. Again, I don't have any axe to grind with JJ, he ran a good race, he seems to be a nice guy, but the rules need to be followed.

"As it appears to be, the way Dave said it, if the tire rolls out of the box and straight at an official, its no penalty, and the official will return the tire. If it rolls some other way, out of control, and not an official, it is."Wow, this shows my ignorance of the rules. If that is the rule it is one strange one.
How about if the official sees a lug nut off and that same official puts it on? /scarc Makes as much sense IMO.

Wow those are great pics of Happy!
I'm still not crazy about the loud yellow color but what can you do with a sponsor like that. :)
I like that he has an American flag on his uniform.
Also, DeLana is such a smart business woman he's lucky to have her. I really enjoyed the Nascar 360 shows they did with the Harvicks last year or was it the year before....I don't remember.:)

Not every day do have the opportunity to meet a group of people like our team did last week. On Wed. of last week there was a group of injured soldiers that toured the shop. Everyone in the shop was welcome to go talk to them and show there respect for what they have been thru. Towards the end of the day I saw the tour walking around the shop. They looked like they had seen enough cars for the day and wanted to see something different. So on my way to practice I told the tour guide to bring all the soldiers out to practice if they were interested and they could watch practice and then have a chance to get involved. So we headed out to practice not thinking anything else about it. About ten minutes into the practice we saw the whole tour coming out to practice. In all I think there were 25 soldiers of all ages, races, and genders. We ended up getting three of the guys to help with the sign board, rolling tires, and catching tires. They ended up doing a great job and really enjoying there time out at practice. What people need to realize is that these soldiers were all injured in ways that we cannot comprehend unless you ve been to war. All three guys behind the wall helping out had lost there legs. The guy that was helping roll my tire in was named Patrick. He was a 22 year old kid who was blown up in a Hum V less than 12 months ago. I tell you this story because he told me and I think he would want it shared. He was blown up by a roadside bomb that sent the whole front of his Hum V 50 feet in the air. He told me that when he landed he was knocked out and that he didn't regain conciseness until a week later. He said that all he remembers is that when he went into the war he was 225 lbs. and when he woke up a week later he was 155 lbs. He was an awesome guy to talk to and his attitude was like nothing I had ever seen before. Not only did he loose both his legs but he broke his back. So in less than 12 months he has been able to get over all those injury's and participate in Cup pit practice. I thought it was awesome. He was just one of 25 soldiers that was out there and everyone of them had the opportunity to change tires, jack the car, or carry tires if they wanted. We even got to do a pit stop on an officer who was in a wheel chair and unable to do anything on the car. He had a hard time speaking but when he finally got out what he was trying to say he told us," My friends are gonna be so $#@!# jealous."
