What do the Enviro-weenies think that those billion-or-so Bison that used to roam the American plains were producing? How about a gazillion caribou?

Environmentalists. A bit tough and stringy, but they taste like chicken. LMAO >:-) The wife and I stock up on 1 lb. packs of ground bison at the local Kroger. Use it for bison burgers, buffaloaf (ask for my recipe - you'll die with a smile on your face), hell, even Hamburger Helper, on our lazy nights. If you substitute bison for ground beef in anything, you'll never want to eat regular moo-cow again.

Well, the population was estimated at 30 to 60 million Bison. We slaughter 32 million cattle annually. So it is a net wash probably. PETA activists do not think though, so it is a trick question. It's nice to see Gore extending his hypocrisy into another realm though.

A better argument against meat eating in this country would be the effects of continual antibiotic dosing on public health. That's why I try to get my meat from local producers who raise livestock on a smaller scale.
