Libby Juror: Behaving Badly... Ethical Lessons from Enron
Amazon ^ | May, 2006 | Denis Collins

Posted on 03/06/2007 10:34:53 AM PST by ReleaseTheHounds

Behaving Badly: Ethical Lessons from Enron puts the reader in the shoes of Enron executives through the journey of the once prominent and now infamous company. Enron began as a newly merged firm in 1985 with too much debt, rose on Wall Street during the 1990s, and collapsed in December 2001. This is the first book to treat Enron's financial problems as complex ethical issues managers may face daily - often without recognizing them as such. Key decisions are presented in real-time from several perspectives, including those of Lay, Skilling, Fastow, board members, auditors, lawyers, and investment bankers. The seemingly simple question readers are asked to consider is: What would you have done, had you been employed by, or doing business with, Enron? Readers can debate their answers with colleagues. Award winning business ethics professor Denis Collins also provides advice on creating and sustaining an ethical culture in any company, offering a decision-making tool and framework that managers can use to intentionally steer their company away from the road Enron traveled. Readers may share answers to decision points at: http://business.edgewood.edu/behavingbadly

By one of the juror's own admission, they got Libby because Rove wasn't present. This was a show trial Stalin would be proud of.

"Editorial Reviews Book Description Everyone, at some time in his or her life, fantasizes about being a spy--James Bond, Mata Hari, George Smiley, Maxwell Smart. At the new International Spy Museum in Washington, D.C., more than a million visitors have stepped into the secret history of history--and have learned what it is really like to live undercover. This distinctive and fascinating book at once distills and expands upon that experience, with inside information on how spies do their jobs, interviews with operatives, and hundreds of photographs and descriptions of tools of the trade. Biographies of legendary spies and how they completed their special operations are included, along with timelines showing the developments of bugs, surveillance tools, weapons, and disguises. Letters, maps, examples of disguises, dead drops, and rare photos make spies and their operations from 2000 BC to the present live and breathe on every page.

About the Author Denis Collins is a journalist who writes for the Washington Post, the San Jose Mercury News, and the Miami Herald. He lives in Washington, DC. "

I think this is the guy:

If this is the same guy, did Libby's Lawyer know about him... who he was?

If he did, I would seriously worry about his judgment and ineffective assistance of counsel.

This is what I said yesterday:

I think that the WA PO reporter is probably taking over where Fitzgerald left off, making all the accusations that Fitzgerald was unable to make in the open court room. This jury doesn't have to be exposed to the media, they've got it right inside the jury room.

If this Clown was in there he was probably leading them around by the nose until he had enough material for a book.

I just can't believe Libby's attorney would go along with a Washington Post writer on the jury.

It might not take jitsu. It is sounding like he played prosecutor himself during deliberations, if so then there could be some interesting aftermath involved.

Are you absolutely sure this is the same person?

If so it seems extremely relevant to the defense.

I would need to see the news clip again, but the pis's on this thread don't look like the guy that was on the jury to me.

Check my link above for the FoxNews interview video link. Collins has shaved his beard and his hair has grayed -- I can't tell if this guy is the same author I identified at the top of this thread, but the video interview does show how this "journalist" must have been spoon-feeding the jury.

You are right... A Google Search of "Denis Collins Washington Post" led to this Amazon.com link for his spy book:

http://www.amazon.com/SPYING-Secret-History-Denis-Collins/dp/1579123953

Not sure if this is the same guy at the top of this thread. Sorry if I did mix these two up -- with the same unusual spelling of "Denis" I thought (and still think) it is probably one and the same. Perhaps the Admin rep can guide me on how to perhaps correct this link...
