Moments after the guilty verdict handed to I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby was made public Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., called on President Bush to promise not to let Libby off the hook with a presidential pardon.
"I welcome the jury's verdict. It's about time someone in the Bush Administration has been held accountable for the campaign to manipulate intelligence and discredit war critics," said Reid in a press statement. "Lewis Libby has been convicted of perjury, but his trial revealed deeper truths about Vice President Cheney’s role in this sordid affair. Now President Bush must pledge not to pardon Libby for his criminal conduct."
Libby, a former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, was convicted on 4 of 5 counts of obstruction of justice, perjury and lying to the FBI in the investigation into the leak of CIA operative Valerie Plame's identity.
As far as I know, Reid is straight....but he acts faggy.
I'd rather see Cheney do it....hee hee.
Dirty Harry is a pathetic worm, he's more interested in preempting what the president hasn't done than running the Senate.
Why exactly should this guy get a pardon? Because he's a Republican and the VP's friend?
If Bush pardons Libby, the charges of cronism and corruption are going to mushroom. The GOP would have even less chance of holding on to the white house or gaining back some seats in Congress. If anything, wait until after 2008 to do this.

I remember the stainmeister-in-chief pardoned Puerto Rican terrorists and her heinous queen hildabeast was influential in releasing from prison black panther murderers. I guess that's OK since they're members of the DemonRatic Party.

Can't we pardon Pete Rose instead? I think that would be a more worthly pardon...gets Pete off the hook...gets Pete into the Hall of Fame...and guarantees GW the commissionars job after retiring from the Prez job. Scooter or Pete...you be the judge. I'm voting for Pete!
What George Bush ought to do is to issue a Presidential pardon to Harry Reid. I guarantee that will shut him up.
