"W" doesn't care about our wrongfully imprisoned border agents. Why should he care about Libby? Because Dick Cheney wants him to.

Libby is out on parole, he will appeal the ruling, and that will take some time to be scheduled. I can see Libby and his legal team delaying the appeals process as long as possible in order to run out the clock on the Bush Adminitsration and get a pardon from GWB on 1/19/09.

He didn't need to take the 5th. He hadn't done anything illegal, until he decided to lie to the Grand Jury.
I think the fact that he refused to testify on his own behalf pretty much tells the whole story.
Guilty as charged.

Why would he pardon Libby when he won't pardon the Border Patrol agents?

Oh so right you are but that's our justice system today. Our Constitution guarantees equal justice under the law but some, like the Clintons are more equal than others.
Unequal justice (Bill Clinton perjury, Sandy Berger perjury = case law) should be prime grounds for Libby to appeal a sentence to prison.

The jury questioned the judge about what the charges were against Mr. Libby just a few hours before they rendered the guilty verdict...ten days after starting deliberations. This is consistent with the behavior of people who first come to a conclusion of guilt and then attempt to fill in the facts to justify their prejudiced decision.

You should see the celebrations over at DU for "Fitzmas". I haven't seen anyone so happy to get a gift since Ralphie got the Bunny Pajamas from his Aunt in Christmas Story.
