Libby was convicted of:

I guess I'm sick and tired of being Mr. Nice Guy it is never acknowledged, and certainly not appreciated. It is almost how I see America's role in the world. We do what we can to help and end up with a pile of garbage thrown in our faces. What's the use?

Exactly, and that's why even if I wouldn't have said what Ann Coulter said the other day, I'm tired of the thinking that playing nice is going to get conservatives anywhere. Politics is a nasty, dirty, business. It has been always been thus. And we need more conservatives willing to get into the mud.

Why was it that Libby even had to be placed into the position where he felt he had to lie? What was the point of the investigation?

I think we all know the answer to that. But the initial politically-motivated investigation into the Plame matter is another issue. Even if you're in a witch hunt, you don't lie to a grand jury. I have no sympathy for someone who does.

How interesting saying you love the Clintons is a personal attack.

On FR it is.

To me that is the big picture, that people should be focusing on. Instead this is just another of the "thousand cuts" the Rats are killing the Republicans with.

Is that a French fagot or a Russian fagot?

If that is a fagot, then John Edwards is a kite.

Why are you using a picture of a Polish fighter?

It definitely should have focus, but unfortunately Libby apparently made things worse by lying. Now the libs have a completely unnecessary conviction under their belt with which to bash Bush.

I like the small picture in that justice was served by a perjurer being convicted. It's too rare. But I don't like the big-picture consequences of that. Libby just shouldn't have lied. As was said previously, "I don't remember," "If I remember correctly" or a bunch of other non-committal phrases could have been used if he wanted to protect anyone.

Oops. Still, it's a MiG-15, which had the NATO codename "Fagot."

See, I think this will help us in '08. Most of the country can see that this whole Libby thing is obviously a case of someone lying. I think that the way Bush has handled it -- taking their lumps, rather than try to slag Fitzgerald, a guy with a sterling reputation -- helps the 08 candidates because there isn't that cloud of dishonesty over things. "Justice was served, move on" can be our mantra."

When a Dem says that Bush should be put on trial for lying, or Cheney, or whatever, we can say "Well, the system took Libby down, so it can happen. The fact that it isn't happening with Bush and Cheney should tell you that there is nothing to find."

A little mud bath wouldn't hurt. I think it would rally the base like nothing else could.

Talk. Where are men today?

Libby got 24 years for lying to his government.

The government decides who is lying.

Libby got 24 years for lying to the government.

May God help us all.

and don't forget to not vote for Rudy, even if he is the only one that can beat Hillary because he's not conservative enough,so Hillary can appoint more and more liberals to the justice department.Conservative have sat by for far too long, things are not going to change overnight. But things will only get worse if we do not stand united on a victory in 08.

Good heavens. The Rudybots show up on every thread, demanding fealty for their Democrat in drag. Can't you park your cheerleading on the gazillion "Vote for Rudy" threads we have going?

Democrats always win. We know this. They are winning with Bush in there. Elect a true leftist like Giuliani and see what happens. He's one of them.

Now can we get back to debating Scooter Libby?

Yes--D.C. is a cluster of liberals--President Bush didn't fire enough of them. The state department and very agency is full of libs. When will we ever learn???--there is not going to be fairness in D.C. ever. There's is only waste and corruption, and a lib agenda at work there.
The houses need to be cleaned out of fruity left wing nut jobs for our country to survive.
