Also, going to prison after a political railroading should never "go with the territory". How on earth are we supposed to get decent people to serve our interest in DC when this type of thing happens? I personally want to create an environment that encourages good people participate and serve in a government created by the people and for the people.
I don't know DeMint's background, but I've long had a ton of respect for Coburn -- and it's no coincidence that he's had an extensive career outside of politics. I predict he won't stay in the U.S. Senate for a long time.
