JOHN EDWARDS ... SPOKESMAN FOR JESUS

Well, isn't this special! John Edwards is now not only a presidential candidate, but he's taken on the role of being a spokesman for Jesus.

Isn't this just wonderful? If John Edwards were to win in 2008 we would actually have a spokesman for Jesus Christ in the White House! How can we turn this incredible opportunity down?

Edwards was being interviewed for a Christian website called Beliefnet.com. During that interview Edwards made the following revelations:

Jesus would be appalled at how the United States has ignored the plight of the suffering. Children should have private time to pray at school. Jesus would be upset with the selfishness of Americans. Jesus would be upset about our country's willingness to go to war "when it's not necessary." Jesus would be upset with our focus on our own selfish short-term needs. I guess we should all stop for a moment to thank John Edwards for sharing Jesus' thoughts with us. Somehow, though, I think that Jesus would understand that there is no country on the face of the earth that does as much for the suffering as does the United States. Jesus is also probably away that Americans give more money to worthy causes than the people of any other nation. I'm also not convinced that Jesus would feel that removing a bloody dictator -- a dictator guilty of mass murders, rapes and wholesale violations of human decency -- would be categorized as "unnecessary." There are some who might think that getting rid of Saddam Hussein was actually a very Christian thing to do!

Anyway ... it's nice to know that John Edwards would don the mantle of Jesus' spokesman in order to further his political goals.

Of course, may of us can be more charitable. Wonder if Edwards just had to have that Pentagon size home he has in NC? How many meals would that pay for?

Can't wait to see what his ex-bloggers have to say about Edwards being a "Christionist."

"Jesus would be upset with the selfishness of Americans."

Has Jesus seen Edwards' house? I don't know how to post pictures but do a search and you will see it.

I am guessing it is a result of polls. I suppose polls even told Mrs. Bill Clinton she should use that awful accent.

Notice that when Dims talk Christianity, they always talk about Jesus in the past-tense?

JOHN EDWARDS ... SPOKESMAN FOR JESUS

I already knew that...just about every politician (including
too many "R" politicians) are spokes-persons for every Tomas,
Enrique, Harry and "Jesus" that are busy invading the USA.

THE Jesus speaks well enough for himself.
He don't need no stinkin' girlie attorney like John Edwards to
speak for him.

USA has ignored the plight of the suffering?? What an astoundlingly stupid statement. How many trillions have been spent since the New Deal days to end poverty and lift people up? I think we are a remarkably generous nation. Perhaps if Edwards sold his mansion and gave that money to some poor people, their plight of suffering would be over!

Luke Ch. 11
[45] Then answered one of the lawyers, and said unto him, Master, thus saying thou reproachest us also.
[46] And he said, Woe unto you also, ye lawyers! for ye lade men with burdens grievous to be borne, and ye yourselves touch not the burdens with one of your fingers.

Beliefnet.com is not a "Christian website." While it includes Christianity, it also includes a full range of religious, spiritual, and even secular beliefs/philosophies.

Excuse me, but I find it most appalling to hear these demoncrats use GOD for political gain. They twist quotes from the Bible to THEIR point of view instead of GOD'S meaning.

If they really believed in God, they would be against abortion. They would stop pandering to black people and Hispanics. They should stop keeping the races devided in order to get their vote.

sold a field he owned and brought the money and put it at the apostles' feet. Acts - 4:37

You think John Edwards is willing to do this?
