RUDY: SHE'S NO EVIL STEPMOM; DEFENDS JUDI FROM HIS SON'S PARENT RAP (Judi's bitter divorce saga)

Rudy Giuliani vigorously defended his wife, Judith, as the perfect stepmom just days after his son, Andrew, revealed he doesn't get along with her. "My wife, Judith, is a loving and caring mother and stepmother," Giuliani told reporters after a meeting with Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger and county sheriffs.....he stood foursquare behind his wife, whose highly public relationship with Giuliani began while he was still married to the mother of his two kids.

Andrew Giuliani bluntly disclosed.... "There's obviously a little problem that exists between me and his wife." Sources familiar with the difficult relationship between the Giuliani kids and their stepmom said it started deteriorating before the couple married June 2003, but went south quickly after the wedding.

Giuliani's kids had hoped to carve out time to spend with their dad alone as things got worse, but he opted against it, the sources said.

At the same time, Rudy was involved in the life of Judith's daughter, Whitney, and even spoke at her graduation from York Preparatory school in May 2004. Sources say Giuliani has not visited Andrew at Duke, and that his relations with Caroline also are strained....even worse than with his son. Before she wed Giuliani, Judith went through a bitter court fight with Bruce Nathan over who would have custody of their daughter. Her ex-husband filed court papers in 2001 that said his daughter ran away from her mother when she was 16 and voluntarily moved in with him during the time when her mother was regularly at Giuliani's side in public while he was trying to get a divorce from Hanover.

You do seem to have an inexhaustible supply of gossip, innuendo, punditry, "reporting", and other 3rd, 4th, and 5th hand sentences and paragraphs from the notoriously sensational New York City press.

Check it out:

a.) It isn't gossip that Rudy married his first cousin and had the marriage annulled.

b.) It isn't gossip that Rudy was running around with Judith Nathan behind the back of his then-wife, Donna Hanover.

c.) It isn't gossip that Rudy has gone out of his way to march in gay rights parades, parades that have been notable for the inclusion of pro-pedophilia activists.

d.) It isn't gossip that Rudy himself stated that murdering an unborn child is not as serious as murdering a child that is already alive.

There is a passage of Scripture that applies to Rudy, which is "by thy own words, art thou condemned". Those of us who are opposed to Rudy need not rely on gossip, we need only to quote his past statements.

IOW, 'Rudy has met the enemy and he is him'.

Just ran across your comment in passing, and wanted to note that Merv Griffin is also a breeder and owner of California thoroughbred racehorses (which as a group are the fastest in the country).

Have seen him interviewed live several times on the horseracing channels (there are two) while at various California tracks, and he didn't seem at all like "well, you know". On the contrary he seemed to be a more extroverted and humorous version of your typical owner/breeder, and otherwise just a normal guy. "Well, you know" would never have occured to me.

Andrew was best man at his father's wedding....what do you think about that minor detail left out of most MSM reports on Rudy.

There are a lot of things about Rudy that are hard to swallow. When it comes to maintaining public order, he has a mean streak that would be useful in prosecuting the WOT. He's a cold dude and not the "twit" that some think he is.

Rudy's leadership includes not doing necessary upgrades to NYC emergency communications systems that were made apparent by the first WTC attacks. Systems that failed on 9-11.

And pushing a corrupt crony for the most important anti-terror job in the country.

But he did show leadership in standing with Carolyn McCarthy and pushing for new federal gun control laws after the 1997 Empire State Building terror shooting.

That's leadership we can do without when it comes to the WOT.

In fact, the focus on things like Rudy dressing up like a woman interferes with a good critical look at Rudy's "leadership" before and after 9/11.

We know about Bernie Kerik. We know about the appointed judges. What else should we talk about to decide if Rudy is the person to be President.

For example, what is his position on free speech rights? Does he support McCain/Feingold?
