Okay, maybe "denounce" was too strong a word. But I still think the three are spineless to have said what they said.

Denounce wasn't too strong a word. The difference is they denounced what she said, not her. Personally I think you can't really separate a person from what comes out of their mouths (or from what they do) as though these are two (or three) separate entities. So give yourself a break. The other poster is just trying to win the argument with silly word-play.
