So, according to this professor, our seasonal changes are caused largely by a mere tilting of the axis of our planet, and yet a solar flare that could consume a hundred of our earths lasting a year or so would have no climatic impact?
Mm-hmm.

"Does Al Gore have to give back his Oscar -- or is he going to ask for a recount?" The funniest line I have read in the past week was that the Supreme Court has overturned the decision, and has awarded the Oscar to George W. Bush.

--Well, this considerably simplifies that tax. All congress has to do now is pass a law against excessive sunlight.--
And tax those gas-guzzling Martian SUVs as well.

The thing is, it isn't a 'doh'.
Increased solar radiance, the 'doh'--heat comes from the sun, accompanied with a dope-slap to the forehead--aspect of increasing global temperatures is very small. The solar magnetism as a cosmic-ray shield effect is most of the influence of the sun on temperature variation (not obvious--the science to confirm it was only done last year). Yes I know, most of the influence of the sun on climate in toto is due to heat and light, but that's not what global warming claims are about: they are about changes in average temperature.

What happens to this carbon buy-back outfit when the Global baloney farce is finally tossed in the ash heap ?The cash cow dies. So, I'm hoping it'll be awhile, yet.
In the meantime, if you send me $20, I'll go plant a tree to assuage your aching conscience. /s

I think Al Gore and Michael Moore need to travel to the sun to do a documentary about this. I would even donate some money for that trip. For their own personal safety, I would recommend that they go at night.

Can anyone suggest a website which supplies the raw data upon which advocates of the manmade warming theory base their conclusions? (I am not now interested in opinions or interpretations of the data -- just the data itself.)

If Al Gore wants to reclaim any credibility whatsoever, then he ought to return his Oscar.
