You should have taken his hand, the one not holding the wine cooler, and placed it on the grill next to the burgers. Then, as he screamed, you should have explained to him that heat is hot.

All congress has to do now is pass a law against excessive sunlight.<<< I would agree. As an aquaintance (as opposed to a friend) once said...in all seriousness; "I know how to solve the global warming problem - just get rid of daylight savings time".
God's truth - he was serious!!

What happens to this carbon buy-back outfit when the Global baloney farce is finally tossed in the ash heap ? Gore keeps the investors' money, the company goes belly-up, he gets rich(er) and the investors lose. That's the breaks!

Duh. Essentially all of the heat that affects Earth is coming from the sun. The amount of heat that comes from the Earth's interior is negligible. The amount of heat that comes from the start or is reflected off the moon is essentially nothing.
The hear released by machines on Earth is very small compared to the heat that blasts the Earth from the sun.
It's logical to conclude that variations in the heat output of the sun change the amount of heat that reaches the Earth.
The media and left-oriented scientists are doing everything they can to keep us from hearing about the variations in the amount of sun energy that reaches us, due to the Earth's wobble, sunspots, variations in Earth's magnetic field, and other periodic phenomena.

"I know how to solve the global warming problem - just get rid of daylight savings time". Well, according to the Congress, shifting the time saves energy. And, if your friend thinks that Global Warming is man-made..... He might have an argument. But only in his own head.

After Global Warming Gestapo leader Laurie Davis had a good night at the Oscars, this is bound to make her use 4 letter words.

That jumped out at me also. Anything suggesting that nature has a had in any climatic change is "controversial". That speaks volumes.

Data from NASAs Mars Global Surveyor and Odyssey mission in 2005 disclosed that the carbon dioxide "ice caps near Mars south pole had been shrinking for three consecutive summers.
this is on Bush's watch
Habibullo Abdussamatov, head of the Pulkovo Astronomical Observatory in Russia, says the shrinking provides evidence that the current warming on Earth is being caused by changes in the sun, according to the National Geographic article.

Becoming warmer by a couple of degrees would be beneficial for the most part; all the scare stories are based on the premise or possibility of a thermal runaway effect for which there is no precedent.
Turning out the lights, turning down the winter thermostat, riding your bike, paying Jose to grow more weeds or cactus, meeting Aunt Mary in Middleville and following the Pied Piper around like a dumb puppy dog might save resources in the short run but it makes us all look like a bunch of gullible fools.

Yeah, but a lot of our best and brightest haven't quite grasped that fluctuations of insolation over time have some impact on the mean diurnal temperature on Earth. Compared to those guys, I ought to be given a PhD.
