Rush says that people are hungry for leadership and a willingness to fight.
In order for the masses to actually SEE this leadership and willingness to fight, the media needs a complete overhaul. If you do not go find an alternate source for news, you are spoonfed liberal drivel. In the DBM, news is approached in one manner: how is the actual news of the day good or bad for the Democrats and how will the Democrats react.
Any true conservative leader that emerges will have their voice suppressed. Rush, Hannity, Ann and others have a strong voice, but they will not get involved politically. On any given day, you can see Democrat POLITICIANS firing away at conservatives and conservative philosophy. You do not see the same coming from Republicans, so either they are not firing back or it is not being shown.

"As I recall, she was from South Dakota. She was elected to office, and yet women couldn't vote." Depends on which state. Wyoming (home of Dat Debbil Cheney) was named "the Equality" State because from it's territorial days (1869) it has allowed women to vote. I would guess North Dakota was an early women's vote state as well, since the West was quite radical in early days.

Maybe Malkin and the rest of the Inside the Beltway Conservatives should stop worrying so much about getting the next cocktail party invite and try actually attacking the Leftists on anything. Pretty excessive reaction to this comment. I'd say something about John Edwards, but if you say 'faggot' you have to go to rehab."

Funny how quick people forget how Edwards brought Mary Cheney's sexuality up in the VP debate... isn't it?

I'm hoping Rush talks about how ridiculously PC NASCAR is getting. ESPN this weekend was embarrassing.

Here it is:
http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/007126.php
Whoopi Goldberg delivered an X-rated rant full of sexual innuendoes against President Bush last night at a Radio City gala that raised $7.5 million for the newly minted Democratic ticket of John Kerry and John Edwards.
Waving a bottle of wine, she fired off a stream of vulgar sexual wordplays on Bush's name in a riff about female genitalia, and boasted that she'd refused to let Team Kerry clear her material.
"I Xeroxed my behind and I folded it up in an envelope and I sent it back with a big kiss mark on because we're Democrats - we're not afraid to laugh," she said.
She addressed fresh-faced vice-presidential candidate Edwards as "Kid," and "young Mr. Edwards" and cracked, "He looks like he is about 18. I'm going to card his ass tomorrow."
Other celebs also competed to bash Bush. Singer John Mellencamp sang a specially written song that called the president "just another cheap thug" and ridiculed him as the "Texas bambino."
Kerry could be seen laughing uproariously during part of Goldberg's tirade - and neither he nor Edwards voiced a single objection to its tone when they spoke to the crowd. They hailed the fund-raiser as a great event.
Edwards said it was "a great honor" to be there and insisted, "This campaign will be a celebration of real American values."
Kerry thanked all the performers for "an extraordinary evening," hailed the "great producers" - Harvey Weinstein of Miramax and Jann Wenner - and said "every performer tonight...conveyed to you the heart and soul of our country."

I was watching the race yesterday (hoping for a Daytona-like finish so I could watch a soccer game break out) when all of a sudden the audio was all Spanish. Couldn't figure out what happened at first. Evidently I had inadvertently hit the remote to the adjoining channel.

What Ann was going to say about Edwards:
"And John Edwards is a class warfare candidate and a total lightweight on the issues -- his only hope is to cozy up to the media people who think that anyone that uses the word faggot should be sent directly to rehab, and use that to shut down any criticism of the man(sic). Of course, if faggotry is so acceptable to the general public, why should we feel queer about using the word?"
