You mean you haven't set up an alter, burned incense and candles and prayed to the Rudy Almighty?

Yes, I have been and AM very civil, even in the face of extreme incivility from others.

Thank you for the apology.

Rudy appointed more Dem judges and commission heads by far than Republicans. And what welfare rolls? City? Fed and State rolls were being cut at the same time.

The taxes had to be cut because big business was leaving the city under the disaster that was Dinkins. And the size of NY gov't didn't change all that much after his eight years in power.

Also, he wasn't a proponent of Republican or conservative social proponents. And the Brooklyn museum thing was fine, but really didn't go anywhere, but he gets an "E" for effort.

Like I have said, a great sheriff. But his abrasive style lost him support and his personal life was a sham and a shambles.

Now I'm benighted, specious, and disingenuous.

And you are fooling yourself trying to place Rudy in Repub. box. He just doesn't fit.

Which still would NOT automatically give the election to the GOP candidate.

And this hypothetical proposition is about 99.5% improbable.

It's also NOT going to happen and therefore silly to discuss.

Apparently the folks who attended CPAC aren't real, true conservatives:

Asked "who would be your first choice to be the Republican nominee for president," CPAC attendees responded as follows: Romney 21%, Giuliani 17%, Sen. Brownback of Kansas 15%, former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich 14%, and Sen. McCain of Arizona 12%.

Seems the folks at CPAC favored Giuliani over Gingrich.

"Yes, I have been and AM very civil, even in the face of extreme incivility from others."

OMG! I think I'm gonna be sick!! Some folks only cry for civility when their arguments get so redundant that they start to suck and fail to gain traction, which, of course, is the case, once again... right here on this thread!!!

Just think how different history could have been had the Republican Party gone with Reagan in '76 instead of Ford/Rockefeller. You need to drop back about 30 yards and then punt, or something. You must absolutely despise conservatism and it's principles embodied in the current Republican Platforms!!!

I'm sure you'll be back here tomorrow with more of you supposed "civil" tired tirade, so nitey nite!(barf!)

What about him?

His first wife was his HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER. He handed her divorce papers, while she was in the hospital, with cancer.

He was a serial adulterer.

He was diddling a government paid secretary, in his office, at the same time he was making noises against Clinton, for using Monica as a humidor in the Oval Office.

Three wives, two VERY nasty divorces, all of which are messy in the extreme.

He has a nationwide negative rating of 63%; even lower than that of Hillary.

Then there is his GREEN side and his promotion and liking of Toffler's MARXIST, touchy-feely, pseudo intellectual, psycho babel books.

He strapped on Clinton kneepads and caved on a bunch of things, as Speaker. And don't forget that he had NO plan B, nor did he even envisage what would happen when he closed down government, at Christmas time.

And Newt has said that he won't even consider running, if Rudy does well; which he is and will continue to do.

Newt is NOT serious about running! If he really were, he would NOT say that he won't even think about what he should do, until September, which has now been moved to October. Unlike most on FR, he knows that that is far too late to begin anything.

Oh Pleeze....I have just crossed several threads here at FR with articles from Newsweek.

So the Conservatives allow articles from Dem world to brace their rickety platform of accusation against Rudy.

Whats next....Complete quotes from Democratic Underground.

It is a very apt analogy and if anyone takes offense, they just aren't looking at reality.

Hunter has NO chance and would not have one, if things were different and the primaries put off and the run up to them the same as they were in 1960. People here are seeing things that are not there, refusing to allow to even allow for the possibility of there being anything negative that he will have to contend with and over blowing things about others, that will not come into play.

No GREAT WHITE CONSERVATIVE HOPE is going to come, deus ex machina, to save the day. This is a fairy tale that some are telling each other. McCain, Romney, and Rudy have been fund raising, lining up the big money men, the political backers, and assembling teams for months. Do you honestly see any of these people leaving whom they're with, now, for Newt, or Thompson, or Hunter, or anyone else? If so, WHY should they, after donating big bucks and a lot of time?

Yes, the heavily front loaded primaries, not to mention the fact that the race began last fall, is disturbing, but there isn't anything anyone can do about it now.

But there was a concerted effort, here, for years prior to the actual primaries, of discrediting and trashing "W". And yes, it was fierce and very nasty; lots of lies got told against him and his supporters were trashed, bashed, and impugned by some of the same people who are now doing the same act against Rudy.

Didn't go anywhere? The removal of the painting was "nothing", I guess.

As for the rest of your post, you appear to gave forgotten recent history. That's okay, go right ahead and post whatever you care to; factual or not. In the long run, it really doesn't matter.

Apparently they aren't and I guess that they are also RINOS and TRAITORS and worse, as well...to many FR posters.

When everyone doing a dance routine or marching is going one way, but one or two are going in the opposite direction, I guess that the one or two can now be said to be the ones doing the correct steps. LOL

I didn't call for civility nor anything else you claim.

Okay, go off and write your alternative history and have fun; it won't change factual history.

Neither will calling me names/hurling calumny upon me, change who and what I am.
