Mark my words, the Dems will win. The Republicans don't even stand behind their own platform. We unite around nothing anymore. The Dems at least have core ideals which they share in common. No way can we win. Bush has handed power to the minority moderates and now we can't pick a leader because no one represents our own platform.

Correction:

Pataki was first elected in 1994 - so its 12 years.

NYC had Rudy for 8 years - before that Dinkins 4 years - Koch 12 years - both Democrats.

If the Republican party has decided the road to political victory is to compete with democrats for blue states, they can do so without me.

Doesn't Rudy's stance on the 2nd amendment offend any REPUBLICans here ?

Most of the pro-rudy cheerleading squad posting here aren't republicans or conservatives....they are simply RINOs.

by the Hitlery surrogates here on Freerepublic.

Yo, maggot breath - we were protesting the Clintons long before the likes of you showed up here. We just want a GOP nominee who has more than two degrees of separation from Hillary.

Better yet, if Hillary was elected, who is more of a threat to female interns, Bill or Hill?

"Frankly, if the liberal idiots in this state are actually considering voting for him, I might have to reconsider my potential support."

If the good folks of NJ want to vote for Rudy, it means they may be coming to their senses at last. Good news all round I would have thought.

They are not even close to being the same. Try again.

Don't need to I already know what he stands for, and thats just about everything hillary does.

If the Republican party runs Rudy I will vote third party. And if Hillary gets in I say let the season of evil begin.

agreed.

it seems very like that I'll be forced to vote 3rd party in 2008.

I will NOT limit my choice betweeen two extreme liberals (rudy & hillary)

"Mark my words, the Dems will win"

After losing NJ and PA where Rudy is ahead by a very comfortable 9 points?
Not a chance.

No wonder he is polling at 50% in a liberal state. It's because HE'S A LIBERAL!!!

Maybe. Or maybe he is a closet conservative who only played a liberal on TV to win the votes of NYC libs. In which case, he is smarter than you and I combined. Now if that's the case you can call him disingenuous political opportunist(sp?), I'll call him a pragmatic chameleon.

"Do you have any idea how stupid voters are here in the Democratic People's Republic of NJ? "

In NJ, I think we could find the perfect running mate. The one candidate that truly 'fits' with JulieAnnie! Maybe he is still available.

"Don't need to I already know what he stands for, and thats just about everything hillary does"

I know what Hitlery has done.
Rudy doesn't even come close

"If the Republican party runs Rudy I will vote third party"

That's fine.
Rudy will still win.

opps....where did that come from?

But when it comes to a possible 2008 political subway series between the two, New Yorkers give the nod, 50 percent to 40 percent, to Democrat Clinton over the former New York City mayor, the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute survey reported.
