There is a tremendous difference between the remarks by Coulter and Maher. Maher implying that Cheney's assassination should have succeeded is by far more despicable than anything that Coulter could ever have uttered. Yet there is virtual silence regarding Maher's vitriol from anyone on the left, while Coulter has been getting it with both barrels from people on both sides of the aisle.

When I first hold this tale I rolled my eyes. For Annie's never said anything that shocked me, frankly, except for ....this.

Now let me 'splain. My first reaction to this story was...wow, that is really awful, calling poor Mr. Edwards a faggot, which means so far as I've known the word indicates a homosexual.

Understand that I have no problem with the WORD faggot...I had more of a problem with what I perceived to be a rather baseless form of name-calling.

See, I originally viewed this as a way out form of name-calling kind of like that used by children when they've run out of insults. But IF Edwards might really be a faggot, then I have no problem with Ann so stating, even her use of the word.
