Consider these same arguments were made and for the same reasons on December 6th, 1941.

I have no idea what this has to do with the present-day
situation,,,We were not trade-pardners with Japan,,then,
as we are with China,, today,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Just the opposite,,,we sold them scrap etc.,,,the trade
cut-off was their problem,,,it prevented their expansion
to their west,,,
China is "lookin'down the barrel" of enough nukes to put them back to the stone-age in the very first hour,,,
China remembers Aug.6 1945,,,No Kiddin'
We/most of us remember Dec.6 1941 as the day before Japan
"Shot Themselves in the Foot" and it went downhill from there,,,No Kiddin'...;0)
