There are countless conservatives who bring their children to CPAC. It's a family-friendly event.

The kind of parent that drags kids to a 'family friendly' event like CPAC is what keeps a lot of therapists at work for decades! Sheesh! "Hey kids, we're going to CPAC and see Duncan Hunter and Mitt Romney! And if you're really good we will stay for the panel on government finance!"

LOL. The one time I went to CPAC was in the early 80's.
Jeanne Kirkpatrick(RIP) spoke. Brilliant, but man was it boring. Can't imagine making a kid sit through that.

Why not expose kids to conservatism at an early age? Plant the seeds now so when the liberal indoctrination starts they might be salvageable

what in the WORLD are you talking about? it's a political conference! i had my jr high aged daughter come to CPAC with me about 4 or 5 years ago to hear Sam Donaldson v. Robt Novak. she is head and shoulders above her peers in political knowledge at her all girls prep school precisely because we have exposed her to things like this.

LOL!

Well, I've been exposed to politics since I was a kid. I think Michelle is overreacting a bit regarding children and CPAC being a family-friendly event. Children hear comparable stuff like this on TV. That doesn't justify what Ann said, as she was wrong and it was a totally stupid thing to say. Now the enemies of conservatism will be pointing fingers at Ann as an example of what they believe conservatives to be – intolerant individuals.

"Hey, gee, Dad, that's swell!"

LOL!!!!! Like a laser, you home in on the very essence of the absurdity that Michelle is proposing.

While a case can surely be made for prolonging the beauty of "childhood innocence" as long as is practicable, most kids today are doubtless a little more calloused, and a little less naive than the estimable Ms. Malkin would like to think, or have us believe.

If you're gonna have kids that are exposed to political thought, current or classical, then by all means, open the floodgates as soon as you think they can start to grasp the import of it all.

Otherwise, what's the point?

CA....
