Like I didn't know that???
Why the over reaction?
Why insinuate I belong with gays?
it is all that I agree...I've never been scared flying into National not even the first time...you can tell if your pilot was a Navy pilot by how they land at National...they cleaned up alot of it while I lived up there...some of it is still bad but not where you want to go
and all we give them is a dilapidated, rat-infested, run-down building to recover is a disgrace
We are talking about 7 rooms out of 100 in that building!
NO...the PUNK that was living like a pig with clothes, dirty underwear, food containers, chicken bones literally covering the floor to the point it could not be seen is a disgrace! The fact that his sheets were black from filth is a disgrace! When he was told to clean the pig pen up he responded by saying, "F-you! What are you going to do about it? Do YOU know who my daddy is?" After replacing broken items in his room more than once, the condition was so bad and so much broken after he left, the Army billed him. This ought to tell you something!
Ask the other whiner why he CHOSE to stay in a room that had the ceiling falling down etc. from water damage? He was offered another room when this happened. Why did he stay where he was??? Why did he not opt to return home for follow up care? He is National Guard and has the right to request care from home area under the benefits President Bush signed into law two years ago.
Will the critters ask ANY of these questions???
Will the critters reveal that THEY...CONgre$$ cut funding for maintenance and cleaning until February 2007??? CONGRESS are the ones that have not been accountable!
Gates also dismissed Army Secretary Francis J. Harvey, who had fired the medical center's previous commander, Maj. Gen. George Weightman, and replaced him with Lt. Gen. Kevin Kiley, the Army's surgeon general and a former commander of Walter Reed. Gates said that Harvey's response was not aggressive enough.
Sen. Carl Levin, D-Mich., said the scandal is emblematic of the Bush administration.
HERE IS THE REASON FOR THIS MESS! WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!
"I believe this disgraceful neglect has been the result of two things. One is a lack of accountability," said Levin, ... "Almost no high-level people have ever been held accountable until Secretary Gates came along."
Feinstein D-Calif., also praised Gates' quick response.
Well my vote has now been cast about Gates. Since when does ANYONE in the government do ANYTHING without weeks and months of "investigations" -- let alone firing someone on the job 6 months? Not aggressive enough??? PFFFFFTTTTT!!!
Sen. Trent Lott, R-Miss., said he probably would support a commission such as what Schumer proposes. "Investigations are not always the best way to go, but I think we ought to do whatever's necessary," he said.
Hey Lott! Why don't you walk your hind end over to Walter Reed and TALK TO YOUR RELATIVE that is at Walter Reed and see what HE THINKS??? I guarandamteeyou he wants no part of your silly investigations.
You don't need to waste TIME AND MONEY on "investigations" when you can walk into WR and ASK THE OTHER 100's of ACTIVE DUTY troops that are there what they think!
I am very upset that our troops wouldn't get the best of care...
Our troops ARE GETTING THE BEST OF CARE!!!
Keep watching folks...it is about to hit the fan!
You totally misread my post and over-reacted. I was making a joke.
I won't make the mistake of joking with you again!
Actually, the question isn't "am I cynical?" The question is "am I cynical enough?"
See my tagline ...
(Finally, relevance!)
Sometimes it's some innocuous but has been in the news 24/7
If I did, I apologize; I mistook your posts for one of the multitude of prudish, priggish replies around here. Obviously I was wrong.
"Let's goooooooo toooooooooooo...ahhhhhhhhh....LINE UP THE CALLS, GUYS...." (click)
Podcast replays of Rush in the AM for me...
Well, you ought to know me better than that, but forget it.
Thanks for posting that transcript, maica.
She was investigating this for 4 months, she admits...but, she didn't do anything in that 4 months to HELP the troops she was USING for her story???
SHE is the disgrace.
Again, I pulled the trigger without thinking it through; I profusely apologize.
It is SO good to see you Justa!!!
Thank you!
"I've been high! I've been robbed! I've been broke! My credit...is HORRIBLE! They won't even take my CASH!"
She needs our prayers for sure. Her life has had a lot of emotional downturns.
there was an interesting discussion involving snugs (and someone else, I'm sorry I don't remember who right now) earlier in the thread about how discussing things with people in any other forum other than in person can lead to misunderstandings....
I do believe that this may just be one of those situations.....
just maybe....
not certain... remember my tag line....
I love you all (that last is not a joke)
Hey, where ya been! Hope you are well.
