Except for my wife! She has never been wrong in 100 years and reminds me daily.
I love the subway there you seldom need a car...bikes were very popular as well lots of places to use them....I know exactly what you mean bout watching planes land at night at National...it is an awesome sight I still only fly into that airport I love the view when you land upriver...I know the building you are referring to...I enjoyed all the sights the entire time I was there...it's a great great city including all that you mentioned
Now you know how I felt when I found out I'd posted the awards on the wrong week. Wooopsy!
I gather it's been a busy week. Glad you're home safe and sound (well, I'm assuming you're sound...)
And you're right, this was another great thread. It started slow but really picked up steam. We're past 700 and still going.
LOL
Except your wife looks like she's 22yrs old
Sorry, I just can't let you leave off with the idea that your wife is 100.
LOL

Well....it seems ALL of the Congresscritters are pointing fingers and wanting "independent commissions" to investigate the Walter Reed case.....
I am very upset that our troops wouldn't get the best of care...but, aren't these the same people that brag about how much time they spend going to visit the troops in the hospital???
Now they are all wondering WHY no one knew??
Excellent post and I agree with every word. Your words conjured up the old Coke commercial, you know the Kumbaya peace activist one....I see that music and visuals playing...but the overlay would be scenes from the Killing Fields and then in the end we have "Thank Yous" to Fonda, Kerry and Cronkite.
I'm gonna tell her you said she's a hundred years old.
You are in SO much trouble!!!
I spent the week in Pensacola right down the street form the Pensacola Naval Air Base.
I was lucky enough to have a bunch of Navy guys and gals in the same hotel.
Everytime I ran into one I thanked them for their service. I will probably never forget the light in his eyes and shine on his face. It really meant a tot to him. I told him about FR and that we do our best to counter all the msm/dbm BS. I won't forget the trip any time soon.
We are blessed with thousands of brilliant, reputable outstanding Americans that are fighting in Iraq,I am so proud of all of them.
Hey, that's a great line I think I will use it!
(It only seems like it)
"Independent Commission" - this is Beltwayspeak for "we dropped the ball on our oversight of the process but we cannot admit it so the next best thing is to finds a few of our firends and insiders to point the finger at our favorite punching bag - the Bush Admininstration."
26 1/2 hours until Jack Bauer rules the night!!
:-) Excellent!
Great Rodguy. I spent several days last week flying out of Atlanta to NY, then out of Newark back to Atlanta.
I never ever pass the opportunity to thank a serviceman or woman for their service to our country.
When time permits I stroll by and through the other gates looking for these guys and gals and stopping to thank them.
Their eyes do indeed light up.
LOL No you are supposed to say that it seems that it was just yesterday that you met.
LOL
Lott sounded far more cool the the stupid "Commission" idea that the article makes it sound.
I am quite tired of this "commission" business. These Congresscritters get paid well and are taken care of handsomely and it is THEIR job to investigate these things. I guess they feel it is more important to be available for fundraising and someone else should do the footwork and heavy lifting. But the President, who has far more on his plate, is supposed to know everything about everything.
Their "hearings" are all pre-scripted and merely an opportunity for them to preen in front of the cameras over how much they love and admire and care about our military, but only when they are wounded, of course, when they might find themselves supplicants needing their powerful congresscritter to get some basic treatment. Then they love them.
If they go ahead with this colossal waste of time, I hope the Administration is smart enough to bring in some witnesses from the 90s who didn't get treated as we might have liked. These problems did not just pop up since 2001.
