Gee, thank you.

Bashing the media around here reminds me of the Seinfeld AIDS Ribbon episode.

"You don't want to wear the AIDS Ribbon? Why don't you want to wear the AIDS Ribbon?"

"You don't want to acknowledge bias in the MSM? Why not?"

The American Free Press is just fine the way it is. In fact, I want more of it. The answer to free speech is more free speech. It's messy, deal with it.

"U.S. soldiers at the scene deleted photos taken by a freelance photographer working for The Associated Press and video taken by a freelancer working for AP Television News. Neither the photographer nor the cameraman witnessed the suicide attack or the subsequent gunfire. It wasn't immediately known why the soldiers deleted the photos and videos. The U.S. military didn't immediately comment on the matter.

The freelance photographer, Rahmat Gul, said he took photos of a four-wheel drive vehicle with four bodies that had been shot to death inside.

An American soldier then took Gul's camera and deleted the photos. Gul said he later"

Smart soldier who recognized that the photos would have been used for enemy propaganda.

They would be the ones who put down their weapons and screamed death to America. The innocents would be the ones who hid their children so they would not be harmed and joined the crowd before the attack..... The again we are told daily it is not the religion....

Americans getting killed or Americans shooting innocents. Take your pick of stories written by the press.

Several wounded Afghans said they were shot by U.S. forces fleeing the scene.

Yeah ... tortured, too, no doubt.

We are? By who? You?

Can you document this?

I am frankly tired of seeing this straw-man trotted out. It is intellectually lazy.

Capitalists?

The Democrats at the national level and most of the liberal MSM especially the AP have not only openly encouraged America's military efforts in the War on Terror to fail they have also attempted to talk the American economy into failure. This last, thankful did not work.

Why?

So they could use the military and economic failures politically against president Bush and the Republicans. You see, The Dems and the MSM are willing to sacrifice everything in order to regain power.

Now. Did you just arrive on the planet? They've been trying to trash the economy with every bad piece of news since Bush came in. They've been screaming quagmire, tens of thousands of body bags will be needed since Oct. 2001. Always highlighting the failures in an attempt to turn public opinion against America's military efforts. Every American death serves their cause.

Okay, so the Associated Press and the others in the MSM have NOT been attempting to turn public opninion against the War on Terror? You know, by highlighting the bad news, running pictures of the American dead.

Have they or have they not?

What scares me after doing this for years a majority of the 40% of registered voters (maybe 22% of registered voters, the American people have spoken!) put the Democrats in control of Congress.

There is no such thing as the MSM. It's a throw-away line for radio talk show hosts and people who buy their schtick. I defy you to define it. To try to define it is to say that all those who you put into this mythical MSM think as one. Thousands of people thinking as one is an agenda . . a conspiracy. Wake up, Hank. Life ain't that simple and most people are smart enough not to buy into your bogeyman theory.

Reading between the lines this sounds like an American convoy was ambushed in an area populated with a lot of civilians. Not a lot of detail but the ambush was probably initiated by the Suicided Vehicle Borne IED (SVBIED). Immediate action drill would have called for the Americans to clear the kill zone, organize, and counterattack. If the enemy did this in a crowed area there would be a lot of collateral damage (i.e., people getting caught in the cross fire). Saying they "ran away" could also be described as breaking contact. Bottom line... this story has the earmarks of anti-US propaganda and should be treated as such.

I'll be honest with you, I don't look for bias. I see what I think are biases, but that just makes me look for other sources to confirm or refute what I first saw or read. I assume that every news organization is in competition for my eyes, and if someone or some organization is giving me an inferior product, I go elsewhere. Capitalists and entrepreneurs know this too.

I don't deliberately look for skunks but occasionally I see a skunk and when I see the skunk I do not deny that it IS a skunk because I am not looking for skunks.

Who said anything about denying that bias exists?

It exists, but does that mean it has to be hysterically pointed out at every turn?
