HOLLYWOOD'S wealthy liberals can now avoid any guilt they might feel for consuming so much non-renewable fossil fuel... This year's Oscar goodie bag contained gift certificates representing 100,000 pounds of greenhouse gas reductions...
It reminds us of the era when rich Catholics paid the church for "dispensations" that would shorten their terms in Purgatory.

Earlier this year, I was really concerned about the whole "global warming" movement getting some traction with normal Americans. It's on all the newstands and on the evening news, the kids are even bringing it home from school. I had had a number of discussions on the topic with run of the mill friends and neighbors who were genuinely concerned about it - and otherwise normal - in that they are not enrolled in the Cool-aid brigade.
I think this kind of idiocy will only help to debunk the whole scam with Joe Public. People may like feeling warm and fuzzy because they care more than you and I about the planet, but they won't be feeling so smug when I'm laughing in their faces because they been taken advantage of.
By the way, guess who started up their own carbon offset company and is effectively profiting from the whole gig?? You know who!

....lol.....yup, pretty soon those damned North Koreans are going to stop counterfeiting our money and print out all the carbon credits they want.....madness......

A nice idea, but you ought to work up something with a bit more margin. Seems like these folks would be happy to throw their money at you.

The liberals would have a real hard time if people could pay someone else to take their place or their kid's place in the Army if there was a draft.
But pollution and global warming, sign them up and be proud of it!
Where's that shared sense of duty that they feel towards military service? Shouldn't they share in the pain of this too?

This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. Are free carbon credits taxable as income????

I have already printed all the gifts I will need for the entire year. They look good and rather important. I can't wait to see the look of joy in their eyes when they open them. Just to know they can still drive their car without Algore and all of the Hollywood hypocrites giving them the evil eye should be enough to make them cry.

What type of paper are the credits printen on...?

You can already buy "carbon credits" on ebay:
click It would be funny if it weren't so sad. These sellers are simply asserting they bought "private carbon credits" somewhere, from someone, in some market, of some kind, representing a "right" to produce carbon that would have "otherwise" (if they hadn't "bought" it and taken if "off the market") been sold to a carbon producer. (Except it WAS sold to a carbon producer, the idiot that bought it on EBAY!)
The sellers don't give ANY details. You're just supposed to believe all this stuff! Amazing!!

Go to Ebay and enter "carbon credits". I've bought a bunch of them already (with the procedes going to organaizations caring for military families). I let my SUV idle in the driveway for about two hours, I felt so good about it.
I still waste less than Algore.

S&H Green Stamps, and Blue Chip Stamps.
Too bad I didn't save them I had loads I found in my aunts house when she died. Had so much to deal with, just got rid of them.

Those "extras" result in more carbon in the printing process, you'll have to buy the Premium Grade carbon credit if you want all the "bells-and-whistles."

Most of the ones I saw on Ebay were for fun, making fun of Algore and his loyal chicken littles. Some of them are really funny. Allot of people are waking up to just what a scam this whole thing is.
To: freekitty
Go to wikipedia and look up the term "snipe hunt".
