When you have Democrats calling our president a killer and a terrorist, and Republicans only meakly shrugging, then you KNOW we need a revival, and there is no better example than the Sons Of Liberty, or the Green Mountain Boys of Vermont, who also tarred and feathered people, and also tied them to chairs and hoisted them up a flag pole overnight. Now I would love to see Murtha suffer that indignity!
The problem is that the Republican Party has become COWED.
And you can see it even here on Free republic, as we just witnessed on this thread, with dozens of weenies, prissy footing on about Anne's incorrect, unpolite speech.
What a laugh!
We need to give the Dems as good or better as we have gotten from them over the last couple of years.
Murtha? He should be treated with the UTMOST public contempt by Republicans, and so should Pelosi and every other fart smellin Rino that pretends to be civil, just to keep the debate low keyed enough so that the pubbie "underdog" candidates can't get the grass root Republicans awake and behind them.
You are absolutely RIGHT.
I'm convinced that the sense of fair play that comes with being a conservative, believing in a just God, and knowing that there's a slim possibility some of those apparent Judas-like peoples on the other side of the aisle, MAY be a Paul, all of that, it makes us play fair when we should pulling out the long knives. I love the story of the Green Mountain boys and Samuel Adams. If you want someone who didn't pull his punches on the rhetoric front, it was Sam. "Bow down and lick the hand of your oppressor and may we forget you were ever once our countryman." (Something like that.)
We won wars when we called them Japs. We lose wars when we call children of the Devil like the Muslims, followers of a religion of "peace."
If you're going to put a gun in my hand, tell me where the enemy is.
