I think the market place of ideas is better served by vigorously partisan language. The "bi-partisan" spirit is what kills conservatives everytime. Until you understand that the enemy doesn't share your values and is very much at war with you, you will never really be a very good political soldier.

...yes, but I think there is a time and place for everything....don't you think that these guys are distancing themselves because most people I think don't like slurs hurled towards others.....even if they don't agree with their agendas.....I don't care one wit if Ann Coulter does this in other venues...my concern is that she does it at the CPAC where now they are forced to disown the remarks and now Ann is the center of attention.....

Exactly the first step in winning a battle is to realize that you are in one in the first place. Cowtowing doesn't work, it allows one to compromise principles.
I am not a Ann fan, but the level of PC even on this board is shocking to me atleast.
