In the early part of this controversy I was asking myself the same question. Does Ann know something we don't know yet? Is she setting a trap for Edwards and the MSM?

Who is covering what really matters? And what does it take to "distract them"?
Perfect! In part, I believe that is why she says what she says, at times. The left says and does worse but the media zeroes in on 'Ann' when she speaks and then the right feels they should follow suit. Hypocrisy. While no one is speaking on for what really matters.

How about just plain stupid? No, I think just politically. The term she used could almost be considered quaint by today's standards. The allusion to the "Grey's Anatomy" fiasco only underscores my point. The "offended" party claimed that he had "never in his life" been called that word.
I found that to be absolutely preposterous. I think every American male has been called a faggot at some point in his life (typically in the younger years, of course).

I suppose, if your careful you could claim,"John Edwards has light loafers".
"Thats "light loafers" as in "light colored loafers" you PC freeko-MSM-types. If I'm meant "Light In The Loafers" I would have said it. But I didn't because its an "anti-gay epithet." I was mearly commenting on his dress at a pig-pick'in in North carolina a couple of weeks ago".
Now MSM.....you dips happy?

Nobody is cleaning it up, and if they are they are fools. Then Ann will be making a fool out of Mitt Romney since he will be among the first forced to clean up the mess she left behind.

Agree: "Coutler's remark was politically very stupid..."
I like Ann. She speaks truth in a factual, blunt way that leaves no one guessing as to her meaning, BUT this was juvenile.
I have seen this same juvenile behavior at least one other time when she was responding to libs after a speaking engagement. It does not do her otherwise intelligent commentary justice. She ends up undermining her own credibility and that of other conservatives.

I have no problem with anyone who wants to bugger goats, trees, sheep or members of their own sex. How about someone who buggers subtlety?

weak minded, easily brainwashed Conservatives join in.
You said it.
To: pissant
Let's face it. The remark was directed at a weasily charlatan that routinely spreads vicious lies and smears against a President whom has too much respect for his office to respond in kind. Edwards deserves nothing in the way of polite consideration and Ann, God bless, is the last person in the world to give it to him!

When one is forced to twist oneself into a pretzel to explain a situation then that indicates a big problem Huh? You think Ann's comment was just "plain stupid", which I took to mean that you thought it was wrong on every level. I believe it was only wrong on a political level. Want to call Edwards a fag? Who cares?
People are called rednecks, hillbillies, terrorists, murderers, religious zealots and other things they are not. Why so sensitive about this one?

Who cares? It was as if after Lady Astor said to Winston Churchill, "Winston, if I were your wife I'd put poison in your coffee," Churchill had replied, "And I would have poured the coffee down your throat you lousy slut!" Instead, Churchill famously (and wittily) replied, "Nancy, if I were your husband I'd drink it."
THAT'S the difference.

I tell you all what, I'll show a little bit of outrage about Ann's remarks the day I hear just one lib and/or DBM member show any f-ing outrage over that idiot Bill Maher's remarks along the lines of wishing the VP would've been assasinated by terrorists.
I get so gdtired of the double standard in this country I could scream.
