Coulter's remark was politically very stupid True, but as she's not running for any political office, she suffers nothing for it.

Remember David Bonior? The little raggedy-whiskered 'rat majority whip in pre-Newt days? An ex-preacher/social worker by trade, an eggsucking liberal by choice. Figures he'd show up in the ambulance chaser's tent.

Howard Dean, the Democratic National Committee chairman, said: There is no place in political discourse for this kind of hate-filled and bigoted comments. While Democrats and Republicans may disagree on the issues, we should all be able to agree that this kind of vile rhetoric is out of bounds.Uhh ... yeeeeah. Howard Dean:
Well, Republicans, I guess, can do that, because a lot of them have never made an honest living in their lives.
Or:
[Republicans] are mean. They are not nice people.
Or:
I hate the Republicans and everything they stand for
Or:
You think the Republican National Committee could get this many people of color in a single room? Only if they had the hotel staff in here.

The fallout is as she intended. Yeah. The doo-doo that fell out of her mouth for OTHER conservatives to have to clean up afterwards.

A commentator who has always used humor makes a non-PC insult...or... You're making a mighty big assumption with the humor part.

Libbies scream at her so much and weak minded, easily brainwashed Conservatives join in.You noticed that. What happened to the "botched joke" defense, now that it actually applies? sheesh.
To: Mr. Bird
Very well-put. Coulter shouldn't have said it, and she has distracted the coverage from what really matters. Now, GOP Presidential candidates may come under pressure to distance themselves from her. She really should have known better.
