This is the same man who showed up at the Empire State Building, two days after a Palestinian jihadi went on a shooting rampage there, and joined Carolyn McCarthy in calling for more gun control. And he never mentioned the shooter's name, the fact that he was Palestinian, or the word "terrorism". I can't think of a more egregious act in relation to a terrorist attack by any candidate in the field.

You are being disingeniuous. My recollection is that RG issued a press release within hours of the attack that identified shooter by name and origin. Although he did not characterize the shooting as a terrorist attack, there was no evdidence then or to this date establishing as fact that the gunman was anything other than a nut job. (I hate to tell you this, but WASP's don't have a monopoly on insanity.) And while RG did use the shooting as an excuse to advocate gun control, in this particular case he was right. Why? Because the 2nd Amemdment guarantees the right of American Citizens to bear arms. The gunman in this particular incident was not a United States Citizen and had only been in the Country for a couple of weeks on on a visitors visa yet was easily able to buy a firearm in Florida with no questions asked. The 2nd Amendment protects us, not temporary visitors from third-world cesspools.

All jihadis are nutjobs. And there absolutely was evidence this was a jihad:

In February 1997, Palestinian English teacher Ali Abu Kamal went to the 86th floor observation deck of the Empire State Building, pulled out a gun, and opened fire, killing one person and wounding six others before killing himself. Even though he carried letters ranting about the US and Israel, the media heavily promoted the story that he was despondent and suicidal after a financial loss.

Ten Years After Empire State Terror Attack, The Truth Comes Out

The Palestinian teacher who went on a fatal shooting rampage atop the Empire State Building carried a note blaming the United States for using Israel as "an instrument" against his people.

N.Y. killer carried political note

I meant "never" in the course of the Giuliani-McCarthy press conference. I should have been more specific. But he never did use the word "terrorism", even though the political motives of the shooter were glaringly obvious and NYC landmarks had been recently targeted and attacked by terrorists.

He made a political decision to exploit this incident in favor of a pet cause of his, instead of telling the truth about the growing threat of radical Islam.

Your argument makes no sense. Laws passed that limit 2nd Amendment rights are aimed at US Citizens, are they not? How does limiting OUR gun rights solve the problem of "temporary visitors from third-world cesspools" using guns?
