Body of Teen Who Killed 5 in Salt Lake City Mall Buried in Native Bosnia

Saturday, March 03, 2007

The teenager who killed five people in a U.S. shopping mall and died in a police shootout was buried Saturday in his native village in eastern Bosnia.

The father of Sulejman Talovic said his son "wounded the hearts of all our family" when he opened fire on Feb. 12 at the mall in Salt Lake City, Utah, killing five people and wounding four.

"I feel sorry for my child, but I also feel sorry for all the innocent people he has killed," the 18-year-old's father, Suljo Talovic, told The Associated Press.

Suljo Talovic spoke while standing where his family's house once stood in Talovici, an eastern Bosnian hamlet that still bears the scars of the 1992-95 war, including houses pocked with machine-gun fire or, like Talovic's, reduced to rubble by shelling.

Moments later, several hundred people gathered at the nearby cemetery for Sulejman's open-casket funeral. His crying mother, Sabira, collapsed after touching her son's face and was carried away.

Suljo Talovic said he would not make excuses for his son, but did not understand how a teenager could buy a gun in the United States.

"The authorities are guilty for not alerting us that he bought a gun. In the U.S., you cannot buy cigarettes if you are underaged, but you can buy a gun," he said.

No, you are guilty of not being responsible parents.

No, you are guilty of not being responsible parents.

They believed Hillary and let the village streets raise him.

He does have a valid point . . . not the part about the guns, but the part about the cigarettes.

I hope Suljo Talovic is disappointed enough in the way the United States works that he packs everything up and moves back to Bosnia.

Dear Mr. Talovic:

This is a country where we prefer to have as few "authorities" as possible. If you don't like this arrangement, you should have migrated to some place other than the United States of America -- like New York City, for example.

Sincerely,

Alberta's Child

On the off chance Hillary becomes president in 2008 (God forbid!), I'll start the chant early: "It's Hillary's fault!".

Suljo Talovic said he would not make excuses for his son,

And then proceeded to make an excuse for his son.

It appears that Mr. Talovic doesn't really care much for the US Constitution. Maybe he needs to reconsider living in the US.

Too bad they ever left Bosnia in the first place. Five innocents cut off in the prime of life. Thank you, bill clinton.

He has made tons of excuses for his son. Beginning with perhaps it was the violence he saw in Bosnia....

Maybe he ought address his son shouting GOD IS GREAT as he shot innocents? Or his sons prior misdeeds including dropping out of school and harrassing others?

Suljo Talovic said he would not make excuses for his son, but..."The authorities are guilty for not alerting us that he bought a gun. In the U.S., you cannot buy cigarettes if you are underaged, but you can buy a gun," he said.

There it is.

It's America's fault. The West is to blame. We caused this slaughter.

Hey, you lying old bag of dung! Did you ever wonder why your freak son was crazed enough to slaughter innocent people? To shoot them down while praising your blood thirsty moon god? No, of course not. You're as miserable an excuse for a human being as your son.

Don't presume to lecture us about the widespread availability of guns when your stinking third-world shell hole of a country grows AK-47's from the ground and exports them to terrorist world-wide. If guns weren't an issue in your bright little corner, then why are your hovels pocked with machine gun fire?

The media that brings this tripe and the muzzies that speak it deserve each other. Perhaps this article's author and editor will be this jihadists virgins? "The authorities are guilty for not alerting us that he bought a gun. In the U.S., you cannot buy cigarettes if you are underaged, but you can buy a gun," he said.
