Isn't Algore still on the board of Occidental Petroleum? I know he was when they were being sued for displacing indigenous people in some jungle down in S.A. Also, Algore was tagged and fined numerous times by the EPA for mining effluent discharges from his Caney Fork River farm. See, Armand Hammer (the uber-commie capitalist - like Soros) gave the farm to Algore's Dad - Algore Sr. because they were such special friends. Algore Sr. was a bought and paid for Senator in Hammer's back pocket. Hammer's zinc mine keeps running and he gave some of the surface property to the Gore syndicate - along with a fair chunk of Occidental.
Lying swine - one and all.

Shout this news from the rooftops. 'Carbon Offset' is just as made up as 'global warming' - a predent societal cure for a pretend societal ailment.

I'm intrigued by this "growing market" of carbon offsets. Gore has now proven to me that there's money to be made on the "destruction of the planet".
My brother and I co-own a 138 acre parcel of land in our former home state of Louisiana. About 80 acres of it are useless bottom land. I think I'll propose to the hypocrite, Gore, that he can buy a $500 a month "carbon offset" from me for which I'll promise to plant one oak sapling a month.
A good deal all around, eh? $500 dollars a month to me and at the same time another excuse for Boy Gore to keep burning those mega-KWhs in his mansion.

At what point will someone look at prosecuting him for scamming the system? At the very least, someone should indict him the way the lefties keep indicting conservatives over trumped up charges.

Let me correct one sentence for you.
Gore has now proven to me that there's money to be made on the "destruction of the planet" acting like an idiot and convincing many people to believe his garbage.

"Isn't Algore still on the board of Occidental Petroleum? I know he was when they were being sued for displacing indigenous people in some jungle down in S.A."
Al and Occidental were displacing the natives so that they could earn more carbon offsets. The natives were cutting down trees and ruining the planet. It was the right thing to do you see.
To: Carolinamom
Yes, but he (Algore, Jr.) served (or serves?) on the board and directly profits from the earth's destruction (as he might put it).
To: MediaMole
If I reduce my personal production of greenhouse gasses by, for example, reducing my intake of beans, can I start selling offsets? Thanks - you just reminded me to order beans for lunch.

Eagle Bridge, NY March 1, 2007 On Sunday, February 25, failed presidential candidate Al Gores documentary about global warming, An Inconvenient Truth, won an Oscar for best documentary. According to the NY Daily News, fewer than 300 people were eligible to vote in the documentary category for the award. In his movie, Gore claims that production of carbon-dioxide from human energy use will cause devastating changes to the Earths atmosphere within 10 years I don't follow! 300 as opposed to what?!. What does this mean? How is "eligibility" determined?

He's a fake phoney fraud. He is a typical liberal elite who wants laws for the common herd but not for him.
