Idiotic. Disgusting. Stupid. Moronic.
I guess you could say that Ann loves to shock us, but at this point, whos shocked? She obviously cant behave well enough to attend a respectable political gathering. Its not a lack of intelligence. Its an indifference to self-control and a preening sort of narcissism that compels her to need the spotlight, even if its unflattering.
(For those of you who dont know what Im talking about, heres audio of her calling John Edwards a faggot at CPAC today.)

Michelle Malkin -
***4:15pm update***
Ann Coulter just finished her riff on Al Gore, tossed out some cute jokes ("You can understand why Hollywood is concerned about global warming. You know what heat does to plastic."), and ended with a cheap one-liner about John Edwards being a "faggot." (Paraphrasing) She said she would refrain from commenting on Edwards because "if you say faggot, you have to go to rehab."
A smattering of laughter.
Not from this corner.
Crickets chirping.

Bryan Preston of 'Hot Air' -
Ann Coulter is speaking at CPAC as I write. As is typical, she gave a brief speech full of her usual witticisms, including a few brilliant attacks on Al Gores green hypocrisy. All was good. Untill the last few seconds, when she launched into a joke about John Edwards.
Heres what she said.
Id say something about John Edwards, but if you say faggot you have to go to rehab.
Im no fan of John Edwards, but thats just a stupid joke. Its over the line. The laughter it generated across the room was more than a little annoying.
Last year it was raghead. This year its calling John Edwards a faggot. Two years in a row, Coulter has finished up an otherwise sharp CPAC routine with an obnoxious slur that liberals will fling at conservatives for years to come.
Thanks, Ann.

My comments... what should have been a day to celebrate a Reaganesque speech by Duncan Hunter, and good speeches by Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee was overshadowed by an unhinged comment by Ann Coulter. She is an absolute idiot for saying something like this at CPAC.
You're right, we should be supporting the LOG CABIN republicans instead.....
Baddabing!
Well, considering he's already on the record as saying we shoudl raise taxes (a perennial loser for the libs) keeping him in might not be a bad thing.
He is a faggot. It is so funny that these days we sit around in awe at the faggots who rule our lives because we let them.
I still like that song.
Don't even bother trying to argue with these people. They believe what they want to believe - those who are always offended are still offended.
To everybody who's whining - what did you expect from Ann Coulter? I don't even like her, but anybody with even a passing familiarity with her should expect this sort of thing. Get over yourselves and move on.
It's interesting to see that Edwards wasted no time in turning this "shocking" incident into a fund raising event. Heck, this might be the biggest puff of wind to blow into his campaign in weeks.
What I find hilarious is the feigned shock by so many folks on the wrong (left) side of the aisle, particularly Howard Dean. The mud those folks wallow in have pigs begging them to take baths. Their false senses of decency emerge only on the rare occasion that someone from the right (right) joins them in the sty.
Ann is a very witty and intelligent political thinker. She gives voice to truth that, while others may agree, they are too cowed and frightened to speak it. She has made her reputation with direct, honest candor. Given that she is also human, it is not surprising that her edgy, realistic approach to political commentary might lead her across the line now and then. It's no reason to throw her under the bus. Shake it off and move on.
read cobra II,
and tell me
what you think of
donald duck rumsfeld.
LOL! Good points. A little equal treatment by the MSM might be nice for a change, but it isn't going to happen.
Regards, Ivan
Michelle Malkin supposed conservative??? Yeah right.
I said she may have crossed the line. I was commenting on the hypocrisy regarding the level of outrage from Howard Dean and others who have nothing to say about similar remarks from the left.
Thank you. I thot it was funny too, in a sort of stupid-to-say it way. I mean, 'faggot' is not yet outlawed, right? Soon to be, perhaps.
Apologizing shows weakness. Conservatives need to stop allowing the media and the democrats to tell us what to do.
When Newt resigned, did it make things better? And when Trent Lott quit the majority leader? And when Bob Livingston threw himself on the sword? And when Rumsfeld resigned?
Did any of this make the media and the democrats like us? Of course not.
So let's stop apologizing and keep on offense.
"That's what UPI and other Libnuts want people to believe. They twist the truth to support their agenda."
Thank you alice. That's what they do want. It's just another page in their playbook. The one thing I have noticed lately is they seem to be into the next chapter of pretending to be sort of on our side. Don't believe it for a moment. They want the control and power; and if they are elected "Welcome to the newest 3rd world country".
Ann's statement was tacky and unworthy of her intelligence.
I still love her.
