That would almost put TNT out of business on some nights!
The L&O episodes with Thompson are some of the better ones. He likes to slap around the libs on his staff, and does it very well. It gives you a warm a fuzzy feeling watching it.

Just last night I was wondering why he wasn't considering running. It was Howlin's tagline that made me think of him again.

I actually find Mr. Thompson to be a respectably good actor, as well. I've enjoyed most of the roles I've seen him in. I was almost glad he want back to acting, but I'd certainly like to see him as President as well.

He also knows the Senate very well, although he has not been a member of the Senate for five yearsSmart enough to disassociate himself from that pathetic pack

Actually, Fred was an accomplished actor before he got into politics. Watch some old Tom Clancy movies... He plays tough military authority types.

They talked about this on the Fox News "panel" tonight and none of the three "Krauthamer, Kondrake, Barnes) thought he would actually run or that he would be a particularly good POTUS.

I think he'd be good VP material.

He is a Leo--made for politics or stardom. He also is 6' 6"--whoa. He also has a wife nearly 30 years his junior. He also has a child younger than 2 of his grandchildren.
To: msnimje
He ain't running for prez, but he's looking to get back into politics back in Tennessee.

I guess you're suggesting he wouldn't be an impotent commander in chief. :)

I think he'd make a better candidate than any of the current GOP candidates. The RAT candidates don't need mention...

I am surpirsed there is no service in his bio.
I will look it up.
Funny, I was talking with my dad about him running for POTUS in 1999.
I would like to see it happen.
