Never hold a climate change forum in the Winter.
To: ricks_place
See. The fact that there was weather just validated the need for the conference.

This only proves that this cold and snowy Minnesota winter is due to global warming.

On the agenda was a discussion about how global warming causes cold winters. Perhaps they'll reschedule that discussion for a warmer winter.

In the end, can a change in consumers behavior alter the course of global warming?I can save the global warming alarmists from having to cancel their events due to freezing weather by answering this question for them: NO.

Either one is correct, they are both in the dictionary.
To: pabianice
"Canceled" is the correct American-English spelling. "US Government sponsored "National" NPR broadcasts foreign propaganda news? The folks running NPR have a great affinity for the leftist BBC. The British spelling is "Cancelled".
To: ricks_place
I've spelled it "cancelled" my entire life, and no teacher has ever said anything. And I am firmly entrenched in the Midwestern US.
Word doesn't highlight it, but I notice that Firefox (which I have just started using) does.
Learn something new every day, I guess. Though I will say that my dictionary doesn't differentiate, but simply lists them both.
To: ricks_place
Sir, Those of us who were schooled in the upper Midwest were taught "Cancelled". (I still have the swelled knuckle from a nun's ruler to prove it!).

Talk about timing! :-)
What a great idea. Hold a global warming conference in Minnesota in the dead of winter, oh yeah that'll work.
A blizzard is just icing on the cake.

Exactly! That way, they can have it both ways. Who can argue with that?
To: maggief
I see somebody piled up their "global warming". I think this global warming crap is beginning to irritate the general public because they see this really tough winter all over the country and they think "global warming, my @$$!"
