Forgot treason. There was a Caine Mutiny poster photoshop yesterday of McCain, in uniform, accusing him of being a traitor. McCain of all people. There's a draft dodging poster of Rudy there, and it will be effective since hardly anyone other than Rudy and I got draft deferrments in those days.

Only half joking though. I think the media would cover them. It might be effective. People might leave Rudy in droves. Personally I think they'd be covered as bunch of right wing lunatics. And since, fortunately I think, they don't promote a candidate, the only damage would be to push undecided to Rudy. Or perhaps to the Dems, not wanting to be aligned with right wing lunatics.

I'm sure the anti-Rudys would disagree. It would be an interesting test. If they don't disagree, then the strategy here should be rethought. Because it's not sapping support for Rudy, in fact it's moving people toward him out of resentment.

Definitely. This is why I keep mentioning the treasonous liberal thread, a point that seems to go over a substantial number of heads. Repeatedly, even after it's explained.

Sure. I live with one who did.

I cannot believe they posted that about McCain. The draft dodging photo -- wouldn't affect me as I know a lot of people that got draft deferrments -- didn't know many college students that didn't use them and went on to grad school. That wasn't draft dodging no matter how many times they say it. There was a law that permitted deferrments -- draft dodgers went to Canada and elsewhere.

Been around the Air Force years and have met some really neat people and have met some Clymers all wearing the uniform. The ones that criticized people for getting a deferrment for the most part are the ones that were Clymers to everyone around and horrible to work for. Classy people don't criticize someone for taking advantage of a program that was available. Just because someone wears the uniform doesn't make them the best leader. I respect the uniform as much as anyone but I don't always respect the person who wore it at the time or 20-30 years later.
