There is nothing wrong with a spirited primary; but at the end of it, all the candidates need to be in a position to walk back and support the winner. This is the Republican Party we're speaking of - the MSM will exploit any perceived divisions or lapses in discipline.
This means an underlying level of civility is required. I believe the candidates are more possessed of it in the treatment of each other, than the rival groups are on this corner of the internet. Hopefully this will change, because Republicans and conservatives will have to unite against the foe congealing in the sewage vats of the Democrat Party.
