Well, we certainly agree there, but that person isn't Guiliani.
Let's face it. The MSM will attempt to demonize who ever is the Republican nominee. In my opinion, the candidate who is charasmatic enough and has the least damaging personal baggage to survive their attack and beat Hillary or Obama, is Romney.
Giuliani has stood in the direct fire of the worst of the media, the NY media, he has the same ability in handling it as did Reagan. No other politician around has that ability.
Any attempt by them to equate him with the Christian Right or right wing extremism would be laughed off the stage by everyone.
I watched Romney last night and was not the slightest impressed and was rather nauseated by having his wife preceed him. Lovely woman but I was just too aware of the artificiality of it all. Almost Gorelike. He is an attractive man and good speaker but I don't believe he will inspire sufficient enthusiasm to get the nomination.
There is no doubt that the electorate overvalues slickness and rarely sees through artificiality but Romney for me was too packaged. He has an enormous advantage on Rudy though, a head of hair.
