"If I swatted government programs with my handbag I would have another issue and I have enough issue."

-Rudy

Take that.

Rudy is speaking now. Let's count his deceptions.

This is wonderful! Anyone saying it is not doesn't have a clue and is a mean spirited human being. I saw the standing ovation and how well they received them.

Playing it safe - sticking with the non-binding resolution.

Rudy starts jabbing at the Dems over the Iraq surge resolutions, says 'they cannot make tough decisions'

The liberal abortionist is invoking Reagan and the Reagan Revolution now. Says that he was "part of it". BS!

I cannot wait until this is replayed tonight and you can see for yourself. He is a Reagan Republican without a doubt no matter what anyone says on here!

Rudy (to thunderous applause):

Thank you for the kind introduction. Very generous things you said. The only thing is if I started swatting goverment agencies with a handbag, I'd have a whole new issue. (ROFL)

This is the first time a lot of you have been in DC since the Democrats took control of Congress. Things feel different now. It feels like they want to take control of everything.

They're going to debate if they can make the WOrld Series a non-binding result.

I thought the whole discussion of the non-binding resolution illustrated what's wrong with Washington right now. The reason we elect peole to the public office is to make decisions, not be commentators. George WIll is a great commentator -- that is his role. Michael Barone or Chris Matthews -- okay - we're trying to even it up on both sides here. LOL

When we send people to Washington we send them tomake decisions. They can't dela with entitlements, immigration, social security, no fiscal restraint. They can't make tough decisions and they don't want to be on the hook for making tough decisions.

We have to make a goverment that functions. One of my heroes is Ronmald Reagan and he spoke here 12 times. The people in this room represent a new generation of a Reagan revolution.

I worked for him for a few years in hsi adminsitration and I've learned many lessons from him. If youw ant to know more, you can get my book. Oh, I'm a candidate and can't do that anymore. I'll give you my book.

Reagan taught us optimistic leadership. He was a leader which is a combination of being a visionary and a practical person who can achieve results. He had great dreams and visions. He saw a world that could be free of Communism. He saw it as not just another alternative economic philosophy. He saw it as an evil that took from people the most important thing they have. Freedom.

Playing up Reagan's "optimistic leadership" - but ignores Reagans actual ideas especially those of a socially conservative nature. I guess since Reagan put his pants on one leg at a time, then somehow that makes Giuliani comparable. Giuliani invoking Reagan is just plain wrong.

Talking about Reagan's ability to make difficult decisions. Safe territory. I guess his campaign consultants gave him a raw number of times he has to say the name "Ronald Reagan" in his speech for maximum effect.

Rudy was hired and worked for Ronaldus Maximus.

So was James Webb. I guess he's part of the Reagan Revolution too and can invoke Reagan all he wants.
