Did you post links to the articles? Thanks.

Yeah, I posted them that night in that thread. By the time I got through that PDF file, and managed to research on my own, everyone pretty much bailed the thread. I did however ping you and dirtboy to that post that went unnoticed.

Forgot treason. There was a Caine Mutiny poster photoshop yesterday of McCain, in uniform, accusing him of being a traitor. McCain of all people. There's a draft dodging poster of Rudy there, and it will be effective since hardly anyone other than Rudy and I got draft deferrments in those days.

Only half joking though. I think the media would cover them. It might be effective. People might leave Rudy in droves. Personally I think they'd be covered as bunch of right wing lunatics. And since, fortunately I think, they don't promote a candidate, the only damage would be to push undecided to Rudy. Or perhaps to the Dems, not wanting to be aligned with right wing lunatics.

I'm sure the anti-Rudys would disagree. It would be an interesting test. If they don't disagree, then the strategy here should be rethought. Because it's not sapping support for Rudy, in fact it's moving people toward him out of resentment.

Let me give you the number of one of my friends and you can call her and tell her her daughter should have died rather than abort a fetus that was killing her.

What Laz said and what Howlin said are two totally different things

Both expressed that harm come to other posters. That's wrong, but, then again, you ain't interested in calling those on your side when they are wrong, apparently.

I've said I like 3 candidates and I do. I've also said that Rudy is my favorite candidate. Could he blow it? Sure.

I've also decided in recent days that one of the candidates is looking less and less interesting to me.

You are far too generous. If these people cared about others - it would come across somewhere in thier posts. What they care about is ideological purity and control. Their hatred and rage comes from their impotence in controlling others.

These folks really think that they are *entitled* to control others - even to the point of what they should believe. Just try to disagree with them about what the word *conservative* means.

There's no real difference between their desire to control American and the far left's desire to control America. They both think they know what's best for us and it's not personal freedom.

Ronald Reagan was a smart politician. A politician with open arms who recognized the existence of a wide array of diverse viewpoints within the conservative movement and the Republican party. He had no words of anger for anyone.

He was a winner.

Really, remember when Adams said this was in the age of Thomas Paine (Of who he was arguing with) and " the Enlightenment". Also if everyone was a "bible thumper" back when virtue existed, than why was there a thing called 'The Second Great Awakening' years after Adams said these words?

Also looking back over the years I would say Adams had a great deal of insight due to the fact the more we elect immoral leaders, the more government expands and liberty shrinks.

Of course we can't heed the founders of our Constitution when they blast out things like "The only foundation of a free Constitution is pure virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People in a greater Measure than they have it now,..." because they get in the way of our sexual freedoms and well heck, we can't have this, it's 2007.

Sorry John, your Constitution and words to heed by are irrelevant due our selfishness and desire for immoral people to rule over us just as long as they give us the illusion of what "we want".

Thank you for your comments, Miss Marple. They mirror the sentiments of a whole lot of FReepers. I do not enjoy coming to FR in the morning like I used to. It's become hostile and repetitious. It's really past time for a call to civility.

Lots of pleasant threads on other topics. Just stay away from politics. Odd for a political forum, I admit.

We think it's pretty funny that the freepers who most frequently ping Jim are men.

Who keeps track of such a thing, other than someone who has "male v. female" issues?

That sounds bitter to you?

If you pay such close attention that you're able to segregate posts by men v women, I'd say that provides a pretty good window into your mind.

I'm just waiting for the next vanity that maybe calls freepers who like Rudy murderers.

Jeez. You may be right. And will it be allowed to stand?

The PDF was shown to be a nuisance suit that was subsequently dismissed. Nice try, though.
