Rudy:
We have great strength and are the luckiest poeple int he world. We have respect for human rights, unlike any other country in the world.
We don't say that as someone better than any one else. We say that in a spirit of gratitude and it's our job to share it with everyone else and move forward with the vision that Ronald Reagan had -- as a shining city on the hill.
As a nation that will be a leader in the world.
(Areafiftyone -- this is a good place to put Rudy's speech about Ronald Reagan in 1999 from liberal NYC. Because people will say he's using Reagan's name now that hge's running for the presidency but since he clearly thought highly of Reagan in 1999, before he had any thoughts about the president, I think it would be an important re-post here).

Did he address his positions on gun control, abortion, gay rights?
If not, I think that was a mistake. He's going to have to face these questions sooner or later. Might as well do it sooner.
