Losing to rock star Rudy by a whisker in SC's straw poll last night can't hurt.

AND, he won the Arizona straw poll.

According to the latest results I could find on the SC straw poll (curiously, the media doesn't seem to be paying much attention to this yet...), We've got:

Giuliani: 158 (24%)
Hunter: 152 (23%)
McCain: 116 (17.6%)
Brownback: 83 (12.6%)
Romney: 80 (12.12%)
Huckabee: 21 (3.2%)

Note: Not knowing how many other votes were cast for lesser candidates, I assumed that another 50-odd votes were cast and applied the percentages above.

This result is simply stunning, especially considering the MSM push-polls are showing Rudy to be in the +40% range and Hunter to be in the single digits.

What does this mean? It means, that when people actually have to get down to voting, even a relative unknown like Hunter is coming close to taking out liberal Rudy.

Excellent, excellent news!
