HAMPSTEAD, N.H. - Mitt Romney suggested last week that he and his fellow Republican presidential contenders would avoid the "rancor" that flared between Democrats after one of Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record)'s fundraisers questioned Hillary Rodham Clinton's honesty.
This week, with polls showing him running third, the former Massachusetts governor took sharper aim at his leading rivals, Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record) of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
McCain, Romney told New Hampshire voters on Thursday, was devising an immigration policy that was the "wrong course" for the nation. And Giuliani's positions on abortion, gay marriage and gun control were a losing combination in the GOP primary, he told a television audience replete with Christian conservatives.

As an aside... thank you for keeping up the Hunter fight. I'm watching and learning more about him. :)
If Hunter can prove he can raise the cash for a serious run, and prove he's got the Big Mo', I'll take him seriously. Until that time, I'm putting him in the fringe category....
And I have guns and ammo and a NRA membership and I barely go to the range anymore.
THANKS for the link!!
I like that!!!
A lot of data too ... I'll be busy
I am glad his heart is there ...
And you're welcome. :-)
I agree! That's why I admitted that Romney has a chance of convincing me he can earn my vote.
At this moment in time, Duncan Hunter is closest to what I want to see in a candidate. He did well today in SC, so that was encouraging. Rudy doesn't even register with me as a credible candidate. McCain, I just do not trust, he's too unstable. If he ran, I would go for Newt.
Hunter has as much chances of being the GOP candidate as Keyes ever did.
IE, 0%
But is Bush a conservative? Is he a Reagan conservative? Don't get me wrong, I like the guy, respect him, voted for him. But just how far left can we drift, hoping that the candidates will adjust to conservatism and govern appropriately?
Other methods as well?
Why is this his position?
And what about women who need protection from pregnancy because of medical conditions?
Where did Hunter say that?
Go for it! I like his positions on almost everything. I just don't think 2008 is his year...
Bush is cleary a moderate. Hated by the left for beating Gore and Kerry. The media will paint him as the anti-chist. They'll do that with any GOP nom.
The choice is between a moderate Rudy/McCain(ugh) or a Obama/Hilary. All the other other dicussions is angels on a pin head.
May I ping you? I don't do links.
like i said in a later comment he obviously isn't as good as Reagan and nobody will be, but he has the same sort of Charisma about him that can get people to, how can you say it, re-engaged into what we face, and thats the war, lets face it the people have lost interest if you haven't noticed.
I liked Alan Keyes. But as appealing as he was, he had a snowball's chance in Hell of ever winning the nomination...
I'd like to see the NRA pick a candadate and make it STICK. I think they swayed a Kerry loss in 2004, and blew it in 2006 with no message.
Now, the thing is the message has to come first.
It also appears on his website.
It's a BILL he wants to get passed.
Hunter is the most pro life of all the candidates running. Brownback, also. Hunter proposes a law recognizing personhood from the moment of conception. Look, I just don't like giulianni. He seems to inspire alot of people here, but he reminds me of a snake oil salesman.
