HAMPSTEAD, N.H. - Mitt Romney suggested last week that he and his fellow Republican presidential contenders would avoid the "rancor" that flared between Democrats after one of Barack Obama (news, bio, voting record)'s fundraisers questioned Hillary Rodham Clinton's honesty.
This week, with polls showing him running third, the former Massachusetts governor took sharper aim at his leading rivals, Sen. John McCain (news, bio, voting record) of Arizona and former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani.
McCain, Romney told New Hampshire voters on Thursday, was devising an immigration policy that was the "wrong course" for the nation. And Giuliani's positions on abortion, gay marriage and gun control were a losing combination in the GOP primary, he told a television audience replete with Christian conservatives.

Sorry, but no, no experience. and he can't work across party lines because the democrats are already aligned with the terrorists. Who doesn't understand the terrorists and want to kill them?

Romney joined NRA in August
For some reason, I am tickled from this.
But I shouldn't be. At least he is listening. He is at least telling me what I want to hear. He is trying.
Forget it, I am tickled.

lol! Attending funerals is a nice thing to do, but it shouldn't be used as a resume enhancement.

Neither Romney nor his children served in the military. That is odd, given that he has been planning his whole life to run for the presidency.

Wants to kill the terrorists
Well, if he is running against a candidate who will run on the platform of 'let terrorist live' then we have an alternative.
Although, it is possible the liberal left could give us a candidate with this battle cry. If they do, rest assured that any Republican candidate would knock the sox off them.
Don't fear Hillaryous. We are going to beat her. Let's get somebody up there with our agenda in mind.
BTW: IF the polls are all knowing, Coward Dean would be your President. When he didn't make it Kohn Kerry was going to be your President. The media is trying to make you think that the way to beat a liberal is with another liberal.

I'm trying to stay out of the primary fight, but since George Allen is out, I'm kinda, sorta leaning towards Romney, though it's a lukewarm approach because he's no Ronaldus Magnus, but he's better than McCain...

Are you aware of the fact that Hunter has the same position on partial birth abortion as Rudy has?
Do you know that Hunter wants to outlaw the sale of birth control pills, because he says that taking them, is the same as having an abortion?
To: upsdriver
There appears to be NO Republican with a chance in hell that'll be both pro-war and pro-conservative gun rights and so on.
On the other side, we have democrats that will aggressively assault those things. At best, we can hope for Republican status quo. We just are NOT GOING TO GET A CONSERVATIVE IN 08!

Of Romney, McCain and Giulianni, Romney is the only one I could possibly be convinced to vote for. But put up McCain or Giulianni, my message to the republican party is they can go straight to hell!

"Forget it, I am tickled." Yeah, the NRA membership in Aug. 2006 was padding his résumé but Mitt's heart is in the right place on the 2nd Amendment.
You can get a better sense of his stand regarding RKBA here.
By way of a personal observation, I have a concealed carry permit and go to the range monthly, but I've never been a member of the NRA.

Rudy on the other hand has that kind of swagger and confidence that can inspire, just like Reagan did.
I don't think I would compare him with Reagan, that's like comparing a Smart car to a Town Lincoln.

I hear that a lot from folks. They want to know why they should show up to vote. They are all the same.
The Party needs to energize the base. Start with the issues. Have the candidate tell us why they represent our vote best.

Mitt Romneys Responses: Mitt Romneys response
coniowasted of
iniowasting that before any program in the Pentagon be cut
that each it be discussed with the generals, and went on to claim that he would cut all wasteful spending from the Pentagon while
increaiowang military spending at the same time. He then spoke to how important it was that we protect ourselves. He also briefly touched on the influence of lobbyists and pork barrel spending.
LOL WHAT DID HE SAY, EXACTLY?

If it comes to it, I'll vote for McCain with a held nose and Rudy without too much trouble if it means keeping the RATS, especially Her Heinousness, out of the White House.

Heh, there is no fight. You think Hunter with basically 0% recognition will come from behind and overtake Rudy? Is that even a rational discussion to be made?

check out post number one. Hunter came within 6 votes in the straw poll. I think there were two precincts left also.
Hunter is a no name running on the issues. It's not about Rudy, Mit, McCain or any leader. It is and always should be about the issues and who do you trust most to safe guard these issues.

But Hunter has THE SAME position on partial birth abortion as Rudy has, so why won't you vote for Rudy in the general?
To: do the dhue
I hope Hunter can come up from 0% to over 50% in the next 2 years.
Now, reality says, that will not happen.
What we need to do is influence the likely GOP nom to be in line with GOP ideals.
That's always the way things go. Wishing for Keyes or Hunter or who knows what doesn't do jack.
Convince Bush sr, jr, Reagan (who was a dem), and probably Rudy to adjust to conservatism. That's how it's done.
