certain aspects have changed faster than their normally associated characteristics have.

That sounds interesting. Perhaps you could be more specfic. Thanks.

Like I said before, I respectfully disagree. Since Giulliani is too dumb to understand "shall not be infringed" I sure as hell don't want him appointing federal judges.

well, what the hell has "Hunter" been doing in California? LOL! What a joke!

I have been living in this area since 1989(Moved up from Texas). Lots of folks have moved here from up north. Last few years a LOT of folks have moved here from Mexico. One group tends to vote GOP and the other group "no halbla ingles".

The Chamber of Commerce crowd is about half RINO and half Democrat. Fortunately, they are not yet at least, the majority in South Carolina and certainly not in Greenville & Spartanburg counties.

Guess who gets out the vote?

So? Howard Dean was a favorite with the moonbats back in '04. He did not even win one primary.

Not the grassroots conservatives, that's for sure. -- they couldn't manage to even get McClintock elected Lt. Gov in CA. That was a real great effective grass roots GOTV, wasn't it? (/sarc)

Especially when deprived of voting lists.

We know how your people work. It's going to take time, but we'll get around you RINOs, if only to stop you from electing Democrats, or worse.

If Howard Dean was a moonbat, so is Rudy. They have more in common than Rudy does with conservatives.

I have extensively, thats why I can't in good faith support him in the primaries. Although IF he wins I will pull the lever against the democrat, like every good republican should for whoever wins the nomination.

Hunter's seat is a fairly safe GOP seat even though the State of California overall IS liberal. I assume the GOP can hold his seat. In fact, we should pick up Tom Delay's old seat in Texas next time, we just couldn't quite win a write in against a well funded Democrat who was on the ballot.

The only reason my good friend Charlie Taylor lost (Nrth Carolina, District 11, just across the state line from Greenville & Spartanburg counties) is because he cast the deciding vote in the House for CAFTA (after getting his arm twisted HARD by G. W. Bush) and then came home and in the John Kerry tradition told his constituents he intended to vote against CAFTA when he voted for it!!!

I have a feeling we can retake both houses of congress any time the party quits nominating RINO's. If the 2006 elections were a disease, getting the GOP back to Reagan conservatism is the cure.

I am perfectly willing to see Newt, Gov. Mark Sanford, or Ann Coulter elected. Just as long as it is somebody a lot more consistently conservative than Giulliani, McCain or Romney. Also, Brownbeck and Huckabee are both seriously wrong on immigration.

Only reason I am willing to get on the Hunter bandwagon tonight is that he has done extraordinarily well here and we sure need to nominate some REAL conservative.

"if only to stop you from electing Democrats, or worse."

Says the guy who effectively voted for socialist Angelides (D) against Arnold the Republican and is promoting Hillary for President -- while I am the one trying to keep Dems from being elected.

In REAL polls Hunter is still only polling 1%.

I really, don't know what that means anymore when it come to "politicians", look at "Hunters" record over the past several years, you will see a steep shift, IS he NOT conservative anymore? I report you decide. Look at Club for Growth website.

Hunter polling 1% huh?

Do you suppose after his coming in 6 votes of derailing Giuilliani last night that may change?

Hunter is polling only 1% huh?

Do you remember when folks said Ronald Reagan was just an actor and could never beat Governor Pat Brown? I do.

I don't know if Hunter will be THE conservative in the race or not. I do know, if the conservatives in the party unite behind any ONE candidate, they will have Giuilliani and McCain on the ropes!

I also know it is almost 3AM here in South Carolina. I have enjoyed this immensely (my first time on this forum)and I do read and consider all viewpoints. Clearly, some make more sense than others. Some put careful thought into things while others just call names.

Overall, this is interesting & informative and I look forward to future exchanges with all on this forum as we move through the primary season.
