Ok so far. We knew to sedate him in advance. I'm still moving my work downstairs. Hopefully I can check back later. I am taking my wireless card down there with me.

Jamie McIntire of CNN calling in says the High School has been cut in half by the Tornado.

He says someone he talked too personally carried the BODIES of TWO young girls out of the high school.

It's bad.

They haven't upgraded it from hailstorm to mesocyclone on the radar feed I'm watching. Do you know the alphanumeric for the cell? E9 or M2?

How awful. A parent's nightmare, I am sure.

A recent article says: (snip)
Parents of students at Enterprise H.S. should go to Hillcrest Baptist Church to locate a student. A pharmacy owner on Main Street in Enterprise says Enterprise H.S. closed at 1 p.m. but he believes there are some people still trapped. The tornado hit at 1:30 p.m. (end snip)

Heard a kid being interviewed on the news channels that they intended to close the school at 1PM but held off letting people out because of the warning.

They were better off inside the school than loading on buses or just leaving the school on buses, most likely.

From Foxnews.com

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,255698,00.html

Students were inside Enterprise High School at the time, and there were early reports of injuries, state and weather officials said. Police were trying to determine if any students were trapped, state Rep. Terry Spicer said. The school "appears to have been right in the path," said Paul Duval, meteorologist with National Weather Service in Tallahassee, Fla., which monitors southeast Alabama. "What we have learned so far is that there are injuries both in downtown Enterprise and the high school," he said.

Listening to one of the Enterprise radio stations online, they are saying so far no fatalities have been reported. Hope they are right.

state Rep. Terry Spicer

I grew up with him. He's a great plumbing/HVAC guy, but not so good a politician. He's a Dem.

I just drove throUGH this storm a little over an hour ago on US 231 as it progressed towards East Montgomery. I was just hearing about it on the radio as I was driving home, about 20 miles east of Enterprise. THAT WAS TOO CLOSE.
