Hopefully just some idiot who skipped school and had nothing else to do today but call in false bomb reports.
I hope they catch the punks who phoned it in and prosecute them to the fullest extent of the law.
Ok, I'll start.
"We need common sense bomb safety legislation to protect our children."
Cops sure are a piece of work, huh? All tough when raiding an old lady's poker game in their SWAT gear, but hightailing it out of there during the LA Riots and hiding behind cars during Columbine.
Aren't there any "No guns or bombs signs posted"?
Oh, don't forget how they had the entire school population exit the building with their hands on their heads, like the kids were guilty of anything other than being victims of the crime at hand. Dark day for law enforcement, imo. Looked like a bunch of cowards.
In my kids school they busted some kids for posting threats on the internet against other students. Yesterday, a threat scribbled on a bathroom wall evacuated my old school and had the police searching everybody entering today.
Watch those insults of the police, please. The officers on site that day wanted to enter the building, and would have handled the situation, but were held back by the top brass. The line officers were not at fault, the suits were. There was no fear by the front line officers.
LITTLETON, Colo. Columbine High School was evacuated Thursday about six weeks before the eighth anniversary of the 1999 massacre after officials received at least one telephone bomb threat, authorities said.
Jefferson County sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelley said students were being taken to a nearby park while bomb squads and sniffer dogs searched the school.
She said she believed more than one threat was called in beginning at 9:30 a.m. She did not know whether the caller made reference to the April 20, 1999, attack by Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris, who shot and killed 13 people before taking their own lives.

I know bomb threats can be a frequent occurence, but living in this community this one is still a sore spot. We all vividly remember that day in April, and this will cause a lot of upset among both the kids and the community.
Yep, back at the tavern over beers, they all talked about how fearless they were.
Cops have a very tough job and they have my support. That being said, many cops just suck. The cops charged with guarding downtown nyc after 911 for example - many break-ins and burglaries, as well as cleaned out ATMs, down there. I know, i was there. This didn't make much press, locally or nationally.
So it seems to me the most likely choices either the cops trusted with guarding things stole things themselves, let their friends past the perimeter to burgle, or were just inept. All those three options don't flatter the NYPD.
I know some of the cops who were on site that day, and I had friends in the school, and in the cafeteria. That day will be an open wound forever, and those of us connected to it don't find it something to joke about.
We also know that those officers on site wanted very badly to enter that building and kill those two bastards.
I am certain you are right, ans I wish they were given the OK to do it. God bless them.
more likely there was a test today
I was not aware of that. I take back my remark. Maybe we need more warriors at the top, instead of pencil pushers.
Oh yeah, it is about the time of year for state assessment exams. Hmmm...
Thank you both for your courtesy. We had our own little 9/11 that day, and it doesn't take much to set some of us off.

When I was in HS (64-68) we got the same prank calls. The police were called but only a couple showed up and made a cursory walk down the halls. Case closed. Of course we didn't have near the number of nut-jobs running around then as we do now.
