The leftists are trying to win by sloganeering what they couldn't win by debate - a majority agreement that the Swifties were mean and unfair to poor Jon Carry instead of exposing real exaggerations of his record. "Swiftboating, swiftboating, unsubstantiated, unsubstantiated, smear, smear."

Kerry and his media supporters are doing precisely the same things they try to hang on their opponents. The Swift Vets had dozens of eyewitnesses who signed legal affidavits. Calling their accounts "unsubstantiated" is itself a baseless smear.
