I didn't claim it was easy. But it is not impossible.

I am not claiming either that our state of NY is exactly America anymore.

Problem is if they made it too easy it would subject itself to criminals obtaining permits too easily which brings us back to the problem that we had.

Back to Rudy though.....he is a problem fixer whether you agree with his means or not. Something I have not seen from any of the other candidates.

Easy. Simply ban anyone with a criminal record from obtaining a firearm. Works in most of the rest of the country without having to adopt the gestapoesque Sullivan laws. Such common sense, however, is lacking in the, IMHO, weak kneed and mentally challenged citizenry of New York and New Jersey, where even the Republicans believe that guns are "for the police." I thank the maker that most of soldiers hail from the south and the west.

Thompson so far seems like the best candidate, in terms of both intelligence, character, and electability. Romney the lover of socialized healthcare, McCain the narcissist, and Rudy the Rockefeller Republican are a pretty sad lot.
