IMHO there was no leak and probably the suicide bomber was either planned before they knew the VP would be there and it was just opportunism to claim it was an attempt to get him.

On the other hand it was speculated on articles on the web yesterday that he might have his canceled Monday meeting with Karzi on Tuesday so they may have quickly decided to do this guessing on the time he would leave the air base.

I suspect they knew they had no chance of actually getting near the VP but knew if they did this whilst he was there it would send a message of their intent plus also gain maximum publicity.

Seem very suspious to me I could understand President Kardzi delay by weather but if I was Dubya somebody went after my Vice President I be telling the terrorists OH YOU GOING PLAY That game FINE I play these
