Welcome, CR! Your reputation precedes you, sir. I mean that in a good way, of course. :-P

Sure looks like the *Keyword Morons* are out in full force, tonite, doesn't it? Why can't they be "traced" and booted-off the thread or FR, Tarkus?

Maybe because we need a daily reminder that even some conservatives are just as fascist as the average DUmmie.

"How about Hunter/Tancredo?"

That could work for me as well.

Who will hold Gore's feet to the fire? Conservatives know Gore is a hypocrite but the liberal robots think he is a conservation guru or conservation evangelical. Someone even said he is such a good looking fellow hanging out with the Hollywood liberals and gays.

Good question. I'd assume that we're held to a "higher standard," so to speak.

"Maybe because we need a daily reminder that even some conservatives are just as fascist as the average DUmmie."

Can I re-phrase that? "There are quite a few "Republicans" who are just as fascist........"

Not all "Rs" are conservative.

Rush was talking about ALgore today and warned that if Algore starts losing weight, it means he's considering running for President again. Maybe his new-found hollyweird buddies can refer him to a nutritionist and personal trainer.

Has the cause even been made public?

The news on the top of the hour was vague.

What did you think about it?

The newscaster here on KNEW mentioned that the problems started on the Shanghai stock market and went from there. They also said the assassination attempt on VP Cheney may have contributed to it as well.

Remember that if you're in an IRA for the *long haul*, it's nothing to worry about. If, however, you're *margined* to your eyeballs for the short-term, you'd better worry. I'm in the former category, and I hope you both are, too.

Remember during the Bush/ Gore debates Gore could not find who he really was? At one debate Gore walked toward Bush like some kind of Frankenstein. Now, Gore has put on the pounds. I remember he was a Professor with a big beard for awhile. If Gore runs, there will be plenty of old pictures and sound bites to utilize. There will be plendy of different Gores to watch and remember. Will the real Gore please stand up.

Gore's lighting bill in the news

http://www.lightboard.com/index.cfm?page=main&frm=article&id=1237

The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average.

Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359.

Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006.

Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year.
