MANCHESTER, N.H. -- Some experts said a Republican presidential candidate might be violating campaign finance laws with the TV ads he's running in New Hampshire.
U.S. Rep. Duncan Hunter of California is running ads that feature him walking near the U.S.-Mexico border. Hunter's Peace Through Strength political action committee has paid more than $17,000 for the ads, which call for the border fence to be extended.
The ad asks viewers to visit the political action committee's Web site. The PAC's Web site then asks visitors to visit Hunter's campaign site. Lawyers said the situation could be interpreted as an endorsement and a violation of campaign finance laws. Click here to find out more!
The PAC's spokesman said the ad is an issue ad and is not intended to be an ad for Hunter's presidential bid.
"Hmmmmmmmm... this could backfire on the experts. :-)"
lol My point exactly :)
Time to get rid of the FEC and it's regulations.
Time to get rid of the FEC and it's regulations.
Now that we have attained plural status, tell them you have several experts!
Sorry, wasn't clear. That was my suggestion to Hunter.
Yes, he is being watched by the Dems and Reps. I still say that Newt's candidacy is freezing him, Huckabee, and Brownback out of the 1st tier. The question is who can last the longest and wait for Newt to stumble? I think Romney is in for the long-haul and can replace Newt. Are these other guys prepared for the long battle?
What experts?
They just want to knock him out early. Fat chance. Don't let what happened to Steve Forbes, even though, it was his own party that knocked him out, knock Mr. Hunter out.
Yeah, Rats in the GOP...
Duncan is the Man!!
come over here too.
Someone is getting nervous. Duncan Hunter is not even listed on the Vote.com website for GOP candidates.
More likely this is the Rooty-Tooty crowd making trouble for Hunter.
Keep in mind Rudy elected to have a "scheduling conflict," thus allowing him to duck out of the upcoming New Hampshire debate.
The Rudester's handlers dare not put their little lapdog in the spotlight just yet.
They are scared silly Rudolfo will out himself, and say something stupidly liberal, at the same time they are manipulating voters to make the lisping liberal turd look conservative.
Keep in mind that, to date, Rudy's been allowed to make only measured responses, responses carefully calibrated to to keep his poll numbers up.
Skipping a debate in this important primary state means his handlers believe Rudeinsky is not yet ready for primetime.
Discrediting Hunter's ads is an attempt to mitigate lapdog Rooty's ducking the NH debate.
I am still awaiting the day when someone asks him why, if he is the only one who can beat Hitlery, that he didn't run against her for her senate seat last year.
>> The media's beginning to paint a bullseye on Hunter.
It only helps Hunter.
On the GOP member's site pole, he is leading against the other republican hopefuls. All the hype is trying to sway public opinion.
I gues your right - publicity for Hunter.
